Reach Countdown Android Widget
HaloCharts’ Firestream let us know that he’s created a (free) widget for phones running Google’s Android – it’ll give you a countdown to Reach’s release. He sent along an example image – must have been taken a month ago, because the current count is 68 days. You can grab this by searching for ‘Days to Halo Reach’ in the Android Market (on your phone).(Louis Wu 18:42:19 UTC)

Crankin’ the Hardware
Bungie’s migrating Halo 3 (and Halo 3: ODST) from their existing servers to the new Reach-generation servers that will be in full use when Reach goes live in a couple of months. No new features, no loss of features – just faster, more powerful hardware. (For the short term, though, it means the File Share will be offline, and stats won’t update right away (though none will be lost; they’ll just take a while to get to the website). More details from Roger ‘Sawnose’ Wolfson on Bungie.net.(Louis Wu 18:37:58 UTC)

I gotta show my mom.
Antithesis has uploaded another bunch of images, this time mostly of personalized clay Spartans. We’ve added them to his gallery here; the first new one is a streamlined Master Chief, but if you use the ‘Next’ button on that screen, you can see a series of images of very specific Spartans. One might even say they were modeled after real players. Or something. I’m pretty partial to the little grey guy with the ODST helmet. (Louis Wu 15:20:23 UTC)

RT: Bungie Day PSA 2010
Hey everybody. Today is Bungie Day and we are celebrating with an all new RvB PSA video. I don’t know if you have heard, but everyone’s favorite developer is busy wrapping up their latest game, so they asked us to help out with a new video PSA for all their fans. Doing that meant spending almost four days locked in a room with Reach — so what were we going to say? No?
We didn’t say no.
Check it out and Happy Bungie Day!

Have you ever felt jealous of Bungie employees for being able to wear Flaming Helmets in Halo 3 Matchmaking? Get on, go play, and light that head on fire! (Thanks, Time_Glitch, for noticing so quickly.)(Louis Wu 19:01:44 UTC)
