The end of August brings big MCC updates

MCC has shifted away from a season update schedule, but that doesn't mean it's not still seeing updates. Here in the doldrums of summer SNIPE 316 was kind enough to highlight the August update has dropped. In this update there's a variety of quality of life updates, Forge features, ported skulls, and some pretty Gundamtastic new armor sets. Check out all the newest coming to an update near you. An impossible challenge… beaten

In late June of this year, a streamer known as moistcr1tikal challenged the world: beat Halo 2, on Legendary, with All Skulls (except Envy, which makes things easier) On, in a single run... with no deaths. Nobody had ever done this before. He offered $5000 for this feat. A lot of people tried. Every single one of them failed. Mostly they failed so hard that on July 16, he upped the stakes: the prize was now $20,000. Gradually, it became clear that if this was going to be completed... it was going to be JerValiN that did it. And today... that's what happened. Go watch the 6 and a half hour run to see some serious dedication. (Thanks to Cody Miller for pointing this out in the first place, and MythicTyrant for letting me know of the successful run!) The Cutscene Library gets a facelift

After quite a long period of neglect, the Halo Cutscene Library has been brought (almost) up to date. First and foremost, Halo Infinite now has a page where all of its cutscenes can be watched or downloaded, in resolutions up to 4K. Several other collections (specifically Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4) have also had 4K versions added (thanks to the Master Chief Collection), and ALL of the pages have received a cleanup - no more QuickTime .mov files, no more .wmv files, just nice, easy-to-process .mp4s. If you need any of this content for video projects, it's available for your downloading pleasure! As is usually the case when the Cutscene Library is involved, thanks goes to Cody Miller for recording. (Louis Wu 17:13:45 +0000)
