A couple of days ago, Xian posted a request on our forum for people to describe the game as they envision it. He was looking for gameplay descriptions, but more people decided to get creative with the Halo world. Here’s one of the latest (and more interesting) posts.

According to Macintosh Gamer’s Ledge, Bungie plans to release the source code to Marathon 2. (This is the much-anticipated #2.) It was supposed to be available on Bungie’s FTP site at 7 pm CST this evening… but that box is swamped at the moment, and even those getting in report no code. Give ’em some breathing room, folks!

Hmm… it can be ugly out there. A anonymous email points out that the text and images on the General Info page of Halo HQ (the first one, according to Wednesday’s news) was lifted word for word from Halo Command. (Note that if you want to see Halo HQ’s page, you’ll need to turn Javascript (and possibly style sheets) off in your browser, due to page errors that will prevent it from displaying at all with these features enabled.) Puts the fight over the Halo HQ name into a completely different light, doesn’t it? (We’ve archived bits of the relevant parts of both sites, in case one is taken down, here.)
