Not sure if this is official yet but version 2.0 of the SETI@home client is now available for download at Berkeley’s ftp site at ftp://alien.ssl.berkeley.edu/pub/. Scroll down to the end of the list to find the right client for your computer. This should speed up the Search for the Covenant. Go get it Marines!

Well I was trying to pre-order my third copy of Halo to avoid the rush and found a Halo-like symbol on this gaming software page. No this is not an advert!

Another Marathon reference in Halo. Thanks to Freewill for scanning in the cover of the bTV Guide. We have two versions small and large. For those who are not familiar with Bungie’s Marathon series the game’s opening line was “Somewhere in the Heavens… They Are Waiting…”

Freewill was pretty busy with his camcorder at MWSF a couple of weeks ago. He’s gotten around to processing all that film he took, and has made it available to the world. Check out the Marty O’Donnell interview, especially… sound quality isn’t fantastic, but the information density is great. (We’ll try to get a transcript up in the next day or so, for those who can’t stomach a 30 meg download.) They’re available by ftp now, and should be available on the bungie.org hotline servers (hl.bungie.org and hl2.bungie.org) by morning. Killer!

New Fan Fiction posted… a suggestion was made on the forum to interview fiction writers. What do you think? Let us know!

24 hour SETI stats are posted… no movement in the club standings, but it looks like with some action from the lesser producers on the team, movement could kick into high gear!
