In response to all the analysis done on the Flamethrower pic that gXp has released (also here, locally), we’ve compiled a Camera Types page. Take a look, and if you’ve got something new, feel free to submit it. Pax.

They just keep cranking them out… Two more screenshots from gXp… HALO5.JPG and HALO6.JPG. Kudos to MacDrugal, who reported them on our forum less than 20 minutes after we received word from MacDoerk at gXp. Halo5, especially, is a pretty interesting shot… reflecting surfaces showing nicely.

Synox mentions in Core forum post that the 12/99 issue of PC Action (german) magazine has a brand new Halo movie on its cover CD. Anyone want to upload it? Pax.

Kudos to Harry Al-Shakarchi for his translations of the text accompanying the GXP pictures. He sent in both the first Halo blurb (two days ago):

“Take 2 sent us these 2 brand new pictures of Bungie’s Halo. Please note that these pics are not from a pre-rendered intro sequence, but from a running game.”

and the second one, put up last night:

“Bungie’s Halo will probably be one of the Games that gets the most attention in the coming year, and we have two more exclusive pictures for you. The picture quality may not be very good, but the content offer you far more anyway: The first, showing water, tells us that it has been done damn well. The other picture shows us a Marine with a flamethrower.”

An anonymous poster on our forums suggests that there might be a hint to Bungie’s viewing system for Halo in the bottom left corner of GXP’s HALO4.JPG. The first line looks like “First Person Camera”, the second could be “Rotating Camera”. Any image processors want to take a crack at this?
