Good news the Halo SETI team page now shows all 146 members rather than the top 100. Who are the invisible 46? The Jjaro Difference Engine grinds SETI bones. Who swithed that baby on again? Check the Halo SETI 24 hour team stats for the tru7h and nothing but the tru7h!

Then there were two. According to a Core news item Rob Swenson (aka Noctavis) will be working with Tyson (aka Ferrex) “for the foreseeable future” on the Core site and other sites to come. Noctavis was responsible for the Halo News interview with Nathan Bitner.

Seeing is believing. Alan Stott reports that HALO-NET has had yet another update. Nobody here believed him until we looked. Alan also reports that FREESITE will be online soon offering free web-space without any adverts. Halo web site maintainers to your engines!

Halo Network is offline for a rebuild. Not sure what was wrong with the original design.

Keep checking those new main page graphics at Battleground: Halo. Somebody is keeping busy.

Kudos to Timothy Wilson, who was the first of many to point out that Bungie will be webcasting from MacWorld this week. (Tim got it from Voodoo Extreme, but the original press release seemed to be sent out by Bungie itself.)

Bored enough to make up news, or is something more sinister going on? (233.43.223.01 doesn’t resolve as an IP address, although it is pingable. It doesn’t respond as a server, for what that’s worth.)

Ugh! The alt.games.diablo SETI team trounce the Halo SETI marines in the SETI club rankings by churning out over 3 times the number of units in the last 24 hours. Come on Marines! Let’s go to work.

Mike Wessler has put up a new version of his java applet that simulates a halo orbit… and this one shows much more stable movements. Go take a look! (Mac users: you’ll need either Internet Explorer, or the Applet Runner that Apple distributes with all system software to run this, Netscape’s java implementation is broken.) Thanks, Mike. Pax.
