Read all about my weekend at the “Biggest Sausage Party on the East Coast.” Dolbex was awesome enough to host a huge LAN party that tons of community members from around the world (or just the U.S.) came to visit. This story is long, detailed, will take multiple seatings to finish, and ultimately pointless. Check it out!

We did it! We won the listeners’ choice #1 gaming podcast of the year award on podcastawards.com! And when I say we, I mean all of us. This was a community effort and the glory goes to you guys, the ones that supported your favorite podcast and gaming community with your votes. Thanks guys and congratulations. All our hard work paid off!

We find out if we won best produced podcast during the podcast expo in California on September 29th. That’s just icing on the cake though.

Party in Halo 2! BYOBR! Look’s like they’re already partying in the forums.

Cody Miller’s speedrun of Halo 2 on Legendary with no deaths has made the Guinness Book of World Records. Grande Carne noticed this in his new edition of the BoWR and posted it to HBO this morning. Congrats to Cody Miller for his insane speedrun and for going down in history.

This past weekend in the sizzling Georgian suburbs, 30 people gathered to play Halo, yell at each other and eat Tijuana Mamas for two straight days of uninterrupted gaming. Except for bathroom breaks.

I just cleared off a bunch of people that don’t play, so if you want to send me a friend request, now’s the time. I don’t have many slots and I only do this every few months, so send it quick. Gamertag foo mo jive with spaces. I look forward to meeting some new people! If I deleted you and you want to stay on, just send me another request. Please only send me a request if you play Halo 2.

UPDATE: My list is now full. I’ll do this again in a few months.

  • The Last Judgement Trailer

    —

    by

    HBO
    in
Incogneto45 submitted to the MPRRS a trailer for ‘The Last Judgement’, a machinima project coming soon. The subject matter isn’t very new – a small band of survivors, attempting to stave off destruction by the legions of Hell – but the cinematics are quite good; this one looks to be worth waiting for! The trailer is 2:20 long, and is available in either WMP9 format (24.4 mb) or QuickTime format (26.7 mb). Go watch!(Louis Wu 22:32:48 UTC)

SESpider decided to repost the earlier strips of his Miniature Halo series with the style developed in the most recent episodes; we’ll replace the old ones with the new ones as they come in. (Pages 1-4 are already up.)(Louis Wu 20:19:30 UTC)

  • Wahttehhog Revisited

    —

    by

    HBO
    in
Gah. Yesterday, I posted a note about Wahttehhog’s ‘Ancien Regime’, a large vid that passed the MPRRS with flying colors. I’d forgotten, as I promised, to point out their blog, where you can comment on this piece – and where, if you’re in the mood, you can download a much, much less compressed version (nearly 600 mb). (For the vast majority of the viewing public, downloading this will do nothing but burn Wahttehhog’s bandwidth; the overall quality bump is not HUGELY noticeable. Think twice, and be nice, before grabbing this.) Thanks to Matt Macomber for reminding me politely.(Louis Wu 19:30:50 UTC)
