  • RT: Friday the 13th / Episode the 80th

So despite Jason running around the office today in a hockey mask trying to scare us, Matt and I were able to finish Episode 80. It’s now up in the video archive for sponsors, and will be available to the public at it’s usual time on Monday (assuming anyone…

  • RT: Hangover city

Today’s comic is posted below – barely. I’m so hungover right now that typing on my keyboard feels like being punched in the brain. Remind me never to party with two-year-olds. I can’t hang.

  • RT: It’s official…

Today the Rooster Teeth community site officially surpassed 500,000 registered users. That means there are now 100,000 users for each full-time staff member. Try to take it easy on us.

Thanks to everyone for making this site what it is, and…

  • RT: Episode 80 and RT Comic

    Heyo,
I have a bunch of crap to talk about today. First and foremost is that Episode 80 went public yesterday. You can get it here if you haven’t already. Also, today’s comic is posted below. All I will say about it is that truth really is stranger than…

  • RT: Matt is a jerk

Today’s comic touches on the fact that Matt is an inconsiderate jerk. Everyone in the office knows it, and now you can too. Also, Burnie will be speaking at The University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana Saturday. So, if you are bored and in the area, check…

  • HaloWorkMontage

    by

    in
Doug Godfrey has been working on his own Halo models for a while (search our news database if you’d like to see older bits) – recently he submitted a work montage to the MPRRS, and they liked it. It’s a teaser of what’s to come – it’s only a minute long. You can grab it in its original DivX format (15.9 mb), or in WMP9 format (12.6 mb) or QuickTime format (16.2 mb). Nice work!(Louis Wu 16:33:23 UTC)

  • Blackout

    by

    in
A TTL Gunslinger stopped by to point out a new article at Tied the Leader – a discussion of the 24 hour XBL blackout that took place a couple of days ago. Fun read! There’s also a clan profile of Podtacular – go read!(Louis Wu 16:28:02 UTC)

  • Community Heatlamp Special Edition: BrentGamer

This week, I had a chance to interview a man who loved by Podtacular Members everywhere. Unfortunately, I’m too lazy to do an interview with that guy just yet, so I present to you a Special Edition of Community HeatLamp where I interview myself, BrentGamer.

How are you doing today Brent?

I’m doing pretty good. How are you doing Brent?

Just fine, thanks. Anyway Mr. Brent, tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m 15 years old, my name is Brent, and i’m an avid gamer. Hence the name BrentGamer. I like to think of myself as a comedian of sorts, providing the Podtacular Community with much needed comic relief. But in reality, i’m just a cuddly kitty that wants to be loved.

What exactly do you DO in the Community, besides being a joker?

I’m really not one to toot my own horn, but I’m in charge of doing the Community HeatLamp interviews for Podtacular. I get to annoy important people in the Podtacular Community until they give me the answers that I crave, and then I relay those answers to the fine members of Podtacular.

Sounds like a tough job. Do you mind taking us through the process of doing a HeatLamp interview?

Alright. First, I put every Podtacular members name on a dartboard and throw a single dart at the board. Where the dart lands determines who gets interviewed that month. Of course, the people in the community who have done alot for us have larger names on the dartboard, increasing their chances of getting picked. Then, I procrastinate for 2 weeks until Foo Mo Jive sends me an email asking me if the interview is ready for that month. At that point, I rush to contact the Podtacular member that i’m interviewing in fear of losing my “job”. The interview is sloppily thrown together and sent to Mr. Jive, where it posted on the front page and enjoyed by thousands.

You been known to submit some interesting material for the Podcast, including your most famous pieces like “HaloHarmony” and “Brentopia”. Where do you come up with this stuff?

As I sit on the toilet, my mind is constantly tossing around ideas for material to send in to Podtacular. After I have relieved myself, I quickly go to the “Submit News & Tips” form and put my ideas into action. My projects like “HaloHarmony.com” take a little more time to finish, because I have to gather up the actors and record them.

    Any new projects coming up?

I’m not going to spoil anything, but my most recent project featuring Foo Mo Jive is available for your listening pleasure on Episode 85’s Customs & Call-Ins segment . Lets just say that it involves a very special insurance company…..

Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to join us today, Brent.

    The pleasure is all mine.

  • Ghosts of Onyx Excerpt

    by

    in
downrodeo found a short excerpt from Ghosts of Onyx at a Canadian Amazon website – if you’re not afraid of spoilers, go read! (I’m not saying there ARE spoilers – I’m saying that there isn’t a single unified idea of what ‘spoiler’ means in this community, and it’s almost guaranteed that some of you will feel this material is spoiler-laden. So you’ve been warned.)(Louis Wu 16:08:42 UTC)

  • UNSCDF interviews Eric Nylund

    by

    in
Major Silva stopped by our forum yesterday to announce that his interview with Eric Nylund was now posted at UNSCDF; while Nylund still doesn’t give away a lot of secrets about the upcoming Ghosts of Onyx, it’s clear that there are still good questions you can ask (the guys who did the IGN and Gamespot interviews recently might take a look). Check it out!(Louis Wu 16:02:43 UTC)

  • A Decade Of Infinity

A blog that seems to focus more on politics than gaming marked the 10th anniversary of the release of Marathon Infinity earlier this week.

Needless to say, this game has given me and my friends many happy moments for the last 10 years, and it will continue to do so in the future, as Aleph One, which is the open-source adaptation of the game, has been available for some years. And it still plays great.

Thanks to source.bungie.org for the link.
