by
Better late than never, right? In case you don’t know the story, JVB was all set to go to PAX, but had plane problems and wasn’t able to go. Laird was going anyway so he pinch hit for us, becoming Mr. Podtacular for the show and getting a bunch of great interviews with the help of Ooopy from The Blue Skittle and Kitkat (did I spell that right?) Here’s an interview with the man himself: Master Chief to get it started:
Click read more to check out the other four! Please join me in saying thank you, Laird!!

It’s just shooting and running and throwing grenades.
Cinema Blend has put up an article about how Halo 3 ain’t all that… and it’s our fault.Gamers are overly excited about a game that doesn’t give us anything new, so it won’t get more exciting than it already is. This is gaming standing still, and we are happy with it.
It’s an opinion, that’s certainly true…(Louis Wu 13:03:39 UTC)

I highly recommend you check out Podtacular’s latest podcast about Bioshock.
“This show we talk all about one of the greatest games to come down the pike in a long time: Bioshock. Joining JVB and [Foo Mo Jive] are Immortal Three from the Podtacular crew and Mintz from Halo Portable. Hope you like it!”
There are no spoilers. There are, however, major THX plugs.

News Summary For September 16
—
by
The second-to-last Bungie Weekly Update before Halo 3’s official release date is well worth the read. The highlights, though, are you should stay out of random Bungie.net player profiles from now on, since you may end up seeing screenshots taken by people who’ve gotten copies early. Also, Miguel Chavez, invited to play through the game last week, says the ending is “perfect”. You’ve heard it from Bungie’s #1 fan.
Of course, Halo 3’s street date has been broken about two weeks early.
Rumors are flying that the missing clan features in Halo 3 may be supplied by an XBL update.
Kotaku wonders if Halo hype has gone too far, and I can’t help wondering the same thing– even if I am, for the most part, isolated from it.

Guys like Jason and I are dirty and gross enough to pull off never shaving – people expect it. When clean cut dudes like Burnie start trying to get in on the action…it makes you wonder. What’s he thinking? Does he have some sort of nefarious plan? I’m…

Norway enters the ‘break the street date’ club
This was first reported to us by Thomas Wendelborg, but there’s an article in English up now on Product Reviews Net (thanks, Avateur); a Norwegian game shop has sold at least 2 copies of Halo 3 to customers, so beware, as always, of spoilers.(Louis Wu 15:15:44 UTC)
