Episode 95: Wii round table discussion

Download | “Show Notes”
It’s the round table show and this time it has absolutely nothing to do with Halo. It does however have to do with something that a lot of Halo fans are either curious about or have already been playing with, and that’s the Wii! We gathered quite a crowd on this show to talk about what we think of the Wii and let you hear some answers to some questions we had about it. The new format is a learning experience and next time we won’t have quite so many people in a round table discussion, but it still turned out good. Show clocks in at 1:08. Thanks to Ciclonic for editing audio, this one was rough because of a noisy mic. Stay tuned for the Halo 3 show with some special guests coming very soon!

H2V gameplay from CES
Over at H2Vista, rapture noticed 3 new clips of Halo 2 Vista gameplay over at Gametrailers; There’s a clip from Sanctuary, and two from Beaver Creek. The play uses an Xbox controller instead of a keyboard and mouse… but it still looks pretty nice!(Louis Wu 13:39:58 UTC)

From Bears to Bullets
Troy Hurtubise has been working for a while at making a suit that can save a soldier’s life. PlasmaFire thinks it might be the precursor to Mjolnir armor (doesn’t hurt that Troy says he looked at Halo for inspiration); you can find an article and a video in PlasmaFire’s forum thread. 300, Take 4
Frank Miller’s 300 isn’t even out yet, and it’s already generated more Halo tributes than any other movie. Amazing! Latest in the field (bunch of links to other ones in this post) is a video from eternalscrappy; quality is startlingly sharp. It’s leet.(Louis Wu 21:25:20 UTC)
