The latest Bungie Podcast was released Tuesday afternoon – 45 minutes of Bungie goodness. Go listen! Jay Weinland discusses the trials and tribulations of sound design (and how it’s evolved over the Halo games), and lots of little tidbits are dropped. Teaching Old Publishers New Tricks
The GameWit blog at the Press Democrat (Santa Rosa, CA) thinks that the amicable separation of Bungie and Microsoft might be a good object lesson for Activision in its current conflict with the “hopes to be something other than just the Call of Duty” developer Infinity Ward, which was incidentally formed by developers jumping ship from the developers of Medal of Honor.

AH: Scrap Metal Achievement Race!
Hey guys, how are you doing today? Good? Great.
Geoff and I realized we hadn’t done anything with the races in a while, so we figured, why not have a Scrap Metal achievement race?
Here’s the fun part, you get the chance to kick our asses. We’re going to open this race up to the first 30 people in the comments who write “I will beat Geoff and Jack into SCRAP!” and then their gamertag.
If you do not include those things in your comment, or you edit your comment, you will not be in the race. Also, there is no prize for winning, just the knowledge that you crushed the souls of Geoff and Jack. So, that is kind of like a prize, right?
The race begins as soon as we fill the 30 spots, and the game is released. Keep checking here for updates on how thing are going!
