Good evening folks. Tonight I bring forth our first “regularly scheduled” Achievement Hunter Weekly Update. We have a good time making these things and I hope you have a good time watching them. Feel free to give us any feedback in the comments though. We’re always up for listening to your ideas. Then laughing at them.

If you’ve ever thought that dismemberment in Dead Space could be done better, now’s your chance to prove it. Visceral Games is looking for text, image and video submissions that detail an original melee kill delivered by Isaac Clarke, that may potentially be used in Dead Space 2!
Head to the Dead Space contest page for more information and to submit your work. The contest is open until the 26th of March, after that the submissions will enter a judging phase where ten finalists will be chosen. The winner from those finalists will be chosen by a two week public vote, the nine runner s up will have their names dropped into the game.
The winner, however, will not only have their melee attack included in Dead Space 2, but their face will be on a character that will be violently murdered, though the specifics of how haven’t been given away.

Geoff and I realized we hadn’t done anything with the races in a while, so we figured, why not have a Scrap Metal achievement race?

Here’s the fun part, you get the chance to kick our asses. We’re going to open this race up to the first 30 people in the comments who write “I will beat Geoff and Jack into SCRAP!” and then their gamertag.

If you do not include those things in your comment, or you edit your comment, you will not be in the race. Also, there is no prize for winning, just the knowledge that you crushed the souls of Geoff and Jack. So, that is kind of like a prize, right?

The race begins as soon as we fill the 30 spots, and the game is released. Keep checking here for updates on how thing are going!

The new Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2 will be available on the XBox 360 from the 30th March, and available on PC and PS3 at a yet to be announced, later date. The 360 version of the maps was previously announced to be exclusive for 30 days, at which time the pack would be released on the rival platforms.
No price has been confirmed for the Map Pack yet.

I’m know a lot of you are gearing up for PAX East, but I’m sure there’s like 8 of you who can’t make it up to Boston. I’m super excited to announce a kickoff for the new season of RvB at the Alamo Draft House Theater on April 1st at 7 pm in our hometown of Austin, Tx and tickets are on sale now. Attendees will get to see all the same cool stuff we are showing at pax the week before. Rest assured, you’ll get more at the Alamo than you’ll get when we release episode 1 on the site that night. Plus, you get to see RvB in HD on a freaking huge movie theater screen. In addition to RvB, we’ll have… other kinds of video with accompanying synchronized sound as well as commentary from the guys. Last but not least, there is no better place for a premiere than a theater that serves you food and beer as you sit on your ass watching movies. Hope to see as many of you guys as possible at the South Lamar Alamo Draft House on the 1st.
