Bungie is designing Halo 3. They should know what the community wants.

We all know Halo 3 will be more than Halo 2 with an assault rifle and spiffy new gloves. What would you put in it? You should already have plenty of inspiration knowing that there is a modified assault rifle in there and new gloves (and boots) to work with. What other weapons will be in there? Will there be new forerunner, human, or covenant vehicles/weapons? What will they look like? New power ups? New game types? New matchmaking system? New shield system? New team collaboration system? New movement options? Let's let them know what we think should be in there!

Apparently there are people out there that play other games besides Halo 2. If you have any games you think us Halo 2 jarheads would like, why don't you let us know about them? Stuntmutt is no longer in Barbados, but it'll be a few days before the sunburn has healed enough for him to get back to cutting and pasting - so it's a good thing that there are still a few celebrity guest strips in the queue. Today's One One Se7en, for example, was created by Pinkuh, and features a joke so bad even Stuntmutt wouldn't take credit for it. Or would he...?

Yesterday, another movie wound its way through the MPRRS - and once again, 9 reviewers said 'pass', one reviewer said 'not only will I not pass this, but I'll score it 35% below the average' - which pretty much guarantees a fail. (To be absolutely clear: reviewers don't see numerical grades from other reviewers, and every reviewer is fully entitled to his or her own opinion; the comments above were by way of explaining why I was releasing a film that hadn't passed the system we set up. It's ALWAYS within my discretion to override the reviewers... but unless there's a clear disparity, as in this case, I rarely do.) I watched it; the voice acting could use a little work, but the concept is solid, and the execution pretty funny. It's a submission by KingChuck and Team Conquest, and it's called 'Gruntco Base Defense' - and you can make up your OWN mind about whether it's funny or not. WMP9 version is 37.5 mb, QuickTime version is 36.5 mb.

The Video Games Live crew sent along a press release for the Philadelphia show - in addition to the show itself, there's a nice contest, and a meet-and-greet session with (among other game music luminaries) Marty O'Donnell and Mike Salvatori. Give it a read.

Over at Bungie.net, there's a very cool interview with BOLL, a community member who tends to stand out if you pay any attention to community members. Go read about what makes him tick - I apologize that somehow, I can't find an original picture of his elite carving; I remember telling him to mail it to us as an entry for the Pillar of Art contest. (He decided it was too expensive to ship.) And what would a BOLL piece be without a cool Flash tidbit? Go read. Update: Heh - good to know at least ONE person kept that original stuff.
