Bungie’s Global Challenges – via RSS
A couple of weeks ago, brokenwatch (the name is not unknown here) posted some quick code on NeoGAF, showing you how to host your own RSS feed for Bungie’s daily challenges. Well, not everyone has the resources to host a feed – so we’ve taken the liberty of doing this for you. (We’ve also cleaned up the output a little, for validation purposes, and cached the result, so that there’s no hit on Bungie’s servers for this content.) It’s pretty bare-bones… but that’s all that’s really needed here. Load this in your favorite RSS reader, and you’ve got a tiny, easy-to-read record of today’s challenges! (Thanks to Yossarian Drew for the push we needed to make this live.)(Louis Wu 14:37:13 UTC)

AH: Achievement Challenge 13 Reminder + UK Only Competition
First off, got a little reminder for a competition open to all of you with an XBox Live account. Achievement Challenge 13 is currently open for sign ups, a week long race to see who can rack up the biggest Gamerscore increase. If this sounds like your kind of thing, head on over to the Achievement Challenges group to join up! The Challenge begins Friday morning at 9am GMT.
This next bit UK only!
Hunted: The Demons Forge is still a few months away, but you could be wearing this snazzy t-shirt much sooner than that.

To be in with a chance of winning, youll first of all need to live in the UK, is that clear now? Good! Now to win, youll need to keep an eye on my Twitter page @TudorVII other the next few days. Ill be putting out tweets with a few letters from a game title I tried while attending Eurogamer Expo 2010 last weekend. Each one will have the hashtag #EGXComp and Ill let you know when the last ones been tweeted. Once theyre all done, unscramble the collection of letters to form an upcoming game title that was at Eurogamer Expo and send me a message here on Achievement Hunter. The winner will be the first one who messages me with the correct answer, so make sure you’re quick.
Good luck guys, thisll be kicking off tomorrow.

Obligatory
Anton P. Nym noticed that the latest VG Cats is Halo-related. I kinda wish this sort of thing happened more often on CSI, actually.(Louis Wu 13:39:04 UTC)

Gorgeous end-of-Reach panos
Al7eredBeasT let us know that he’s whipped up a couple of Halo Reach panoramas – they’re gorgeous, but they were compiled from images taken near the end of the campaign, so if you haven’t finished, they have spoilers. That said, you should see ’em: Final Days of Reach and [title redacted for spoiler reasons]. Gotta love those skyboxes…(Louis Wu 13:21:04 UTC)

Halo Typography
Hedgemony noticed an artsy Halo-themed image that you can buy on a lot of surfaces – t-shirts, laptop skins, canvas. Interesting! (Some of our forumgoers were unhappy with typos and misquotes.) (Louis Wu 13:19:21 UTC)

What if the world… persisted?
Not really Halo-related, but we don’t have a site up yet for Bungie’s next title… looks like Joe Staten has started some speculation with a comment he made yesterday at his GDC Online talk. Hmm…(Louis Wu 17:51:09 UTC)

Halo: Reach Fan Trailer

Horrible plot, cliche’d characters, and repetitive gameplay
Yahtzee has found the time to review Halo: Reach. Visit the Escapist for his typical snarky but hilarious jibes, this time aimed at Bungie’s latest. (Warning: it’s full of campaign spoilers. Though he’d disagree.) normanthesquid brought it to our attention.(Louis Wu 16:37:39 UTC)

Making Safe Pockets
A couple of months ago, we mentioned a talk that would be given by Joe Staten at the 2010 Game Developers Conference Online conference, which kicked off yesterday. Over to Gamasutra, you can read a summary of what he discussed – sounds like the problems some people have with Reach have actually been part of the plan for years! Thanks, Anton P. Nym.(Louis Wu 16:19:02 UTC)

Halo Movie Rumor Surface Yet Again
According to IGN, Stephen Spielberg is interested in obtaining the screen rights to make a Halo movie based on one or more Halo novels. (He’s staying away from the games themselves to avoid a lawsuit from Fox/Universal, apparently.) Interesting to see if this goes anywhere… thanks, Gilver.(Louis Wu 16:12:54 UTC)
