I have a love/hate relationship with the Drunk Tank podcast these days.

February 8th will be the last day for a whole bunch of EA Sports titles in terms of online play. EA has decided to shut down the servers for a whopping 13 games.

Not a very good way to start off the year if you ask me.

We are holding a Kinetic Typography video contest using Red vs. Blue quotes! Our own Matt Hullum has made a sample video to use as a guide. You can also search for Kinetic Text videos on youtube to get a better idea of what to shoot for. Please upload entries to http://upload.roosterteeth.com/upload.php

Ok that’s the only rule. If you export a video that is more than a gigabyte, you are opening yourself for a world of hurt trying to upload it. Just a warning. We will keep the contest open for a little while so everyone who wants to participate has a chance. The winners will get mass kudos and some signed RvB Posters.

***NOTE*** This has nothing to do with the Xbox Kinect. Kinectic videos use animated text that follow some kind of dialog. Please see our sample and the examples on youtube.

As some of you have already heard from our latest episode, we will be doing our own little “Best of 2010″ show in an upcoming episode. We are recording our next three shows on Friday, which includes some updates about the site and community, random frags from the mailbag and a Black Ops show. We want to see what your picks are for 2010: what was the best, worst, weird, etc. Again, we are recording on Friday, January 7th, so if you want your opinions heard, send them in by that day.

It’s Trick Jumping Day at Bungie.net – Comm Chatter’s full of gnarly stunts. New ones include:

• Invisible is a Halo 3 Dualtage from Alex Bounces and Angels of Chaos that uses a lot of invincibility to get some nice explosive-assisted jumps.
• Renegade is a Halo 3 ‘tage from Nate that contains some seriously well-timed jumps.
