  • RT: Brain Drain Dos

When a mind is so totally blown, as was the case in the last comic, the effects can be life altering.

  • AH: Batman: Arkam Asylum Riddler Trophy Guide Part One.

August 24th, 9:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time I leave my house. Covered in leaves. “It’s time.” I say to myself. An air of menace in my voice.

I arrive at my destination at approximately 9:27:32 EST to discover the predictable; I’m the first person there. Al, the resident manager of this particular establishment is inside somewhere. Doing… pushups or something, trying to kill time while I, simultaneously sit in my car reading World War Z until it’s time to make… well, a complete ass of myself, most likely.

Ten o’clock rolls around and my good buddy Al unlocks the doors. Shortly thereafter, Steve (another employee) arrives, admittedly still a bit drunk from his exploits in the hours before arriving to work for this night.

In no way am I ashamed to admit that I am the only person in this particular GameStop who is not an employee (however, by the end of the night, even my status of employ would change). I am most certainly the only girl… and the only one in a corset as far as my knowledge extends.

I stand before the boys in a denim skirt covered in actual leaves from the Cannas in my front yard stapled all around me, a green corset, some truly irresponsible heels and some tastefully green makeup. Needless to say I will be the only one in costume on this night. Which means it is also doubtless I will walk away not only with the first copy of Arkham in the store, but the gift card as well.

It’s at this moment that I will point out to the exceptionally slow that I am an unapologetic nerd with a huge soft spot for any and all things Batman. Had the game been released two months later, I would’ve been dressed to the nines in an exact replica Harley Quinn costume from the game.

Getting home with my copy of the game in hand, I immediately got to work. This video is a labor of very, very sleep-deprived love.

I hope you all enjoy it.
    Fin.

  • AH: Shadow Complex Interactive Map

Hey guys, long time no see, how ya been?

Really quick, I’m back, making videos and other fun things for you and the rest of Achievement Hunter. (Mainly just for you though…) I’m out in sunny California, living it up with moviestars and swimmin’ pools. Good times.

Now then, back to important stuff, over the past few days I’ve been working on a guide for Shadow Complex to help find every single item in the game. You can check it out right here. Special thanks goes out to Ray Brown from Bitmanic.com for helping me make the map look insanely cool.

Use the crap out of the map, and spread the word. I’ve got to get back to making some new vids for you folks. Until then.

  • RT: RT Member: Video Contest

After the success of last week’s photo contest, we’re moving to video. To the winner goes the spoils. That’s going to be a DVD box set of RvB seasons 1-5 and the Reconstruction DVD.

The challenge is to record yourself doing a line from anywhere in RvB in the voice of that character. Easy enough right? Use a webcam or any other kind of video camera. You can present that in any way you want. Really don’t care. BUT, it must not be longer than 10 seconds.

    Fine Print/Legal Mumbo Jumbo:
    – You need to be a registered member of RT to participate. Sign up is quick and easy.
    – Start the video by saying and showing a sheet of paper that has your member name on it and the episode you are quoting. This does not count in your 10 seconds.
    – Name the file “MEMBERNAME_VideoContest”
    – Quicktime files are preferred (.mov, mp4 etc) but avis are ok too.
    – Upload it here http://upload.roosterteeth.com/upload.php
    – Please try to record as big a video size as you can without going to HD
    – Rooster Teeth has commercial reuse license to all videos submitted to the site.

I want to remind everyone that we stand committed to the judging criterion of what makes us say, “holy shit that’s awesome”. Entries are due Saturday night at midnight. Entries will be strung together in a video that will go up this weekend and the winner will be featured by his or her self next Tuesday.

  • AH: Just like Jesus

What’s up folks? I told you I’d be coming back soon with more videos, and today brings forth another Shadow Complex tutorial. This one is a quick guide to helping you pick up the God-like “Walkin’ on Water” achievement. Easy as pie.

Oh, and don’t forget to check out the ultra-badass Shadow Complex Interactive Item Map we have up as well. It’ll help you on your way to 100% in no time.

  • ODST available really early… in France

And… it looks like another Bungie game is about to be leaked… by the French. CaLL Me ZeNy pointed out a YouTube vid showing the unpacking of a copy of Halo 3: ODST, purchased over the counter from a French store almost 4 weeks before its official release. There are no spoilers in this video (it’s just the unwrapping of the box, and showing off of what’s inside)… but if it’s real, it won’t be long before Campaign vids start showing up on YouTube, as well. If you’re looking to be unspoiled when you play through the first time, now might be a good time to stop reading Halo websites.(Louis Wu 10:55:32 UTC)

  • GT Solo Play Walkthrough from Gamescom

GameTrailers has posted another filmed-off-the-screen presentation (Part 1 | Part 2) from Gamescom – this one’s an awful lot like the Gamersyde recording we mentioned on Sunday – but if you’re doing your best to see everything out there, you should watch this too. (Louis Wu 10:54:31 UTC)
