Hey… I know that guy…
Buttskunk ran across an article at Bam! Kapow! – 11 gamer personalities, and what they look like in real life. #4 is pretty Halo-centric. (Louis Wu 16:11:52 UTC)

Win a custom controller
Bryan Simon is facilitating a giveaway of a custom-painted controller from The Controller Shop – you just need to make a video explaining why you need this. (His example vid uses Halo 3 footage, sneaking this news in as ‘Halo-related’.) (Louis Wu 16:11:29 UTC)

ODST not playable at Fan Expo after all
Ah, bummer – yesterday, we mentioned that ODST would be available to be played at Fan Expo this weekend in Toronto – turns out it’s been pulled. If you were going just to play ODST – save your cash.(Louis Wu 16:11:02 UTC)

Crisis
RVideo pointed out an 8-player, 3-director montage being promoted over at Halo3Forum.com – only the third segment is available in HD right now (the whole thing can be streamed from WeGame) – but after watching it, the third segment is by far the most impressive, so if you want to see some cool editing effects, grab ViDoL’s segment of Crisis.(Louis Wu 16:10:27 UTC)

AH: Castle Crashers: Necromantic DLC Pack
—
by
Hey guys,
Got a nifty little walkthrough of the new Castle Crashers DLC for you. There’s no Achievements, but there are two new characters, a new orb, and two new weapons (chainsaw FTW). It just hit today for 160 pts, and I gotta say, I’d forgotten just how much fun Castle Crashers is. Whether you get the DLC or not, you should give it another spin. Good times.

Ahoy there viewers, today I bring you a fun achievement in TrialsHD, the “Strike!” achievement. It is most certainly deceptively difficult. I know the first time I picked it up, it took me like 30 tries before I knocked down all 10 pins, but I’m sure you’ll do better than I.
This Summer’s XBLA releases were fantastic and I’m looking forward to a Fall full of titles so deep I won’t be able to breathe. Oh joy!

AH: Two Madden NFL 10 Guides
—
by
Dear sports fans,
Brownman has turned in two great videos for Madden NFL 10. The first one covers the three secret Achievements in the game. How secret are they? So secret that I’m not even going to name them. You’ll just have to settle for the following tiles.
The next one covers three “not so secret” Achievements, so I feel comfortable listing them for you: Pocket Monster, Wounded Duck, and The Gang’s All Here. Watching both of these little guys will net you a whopping 205 Gamerscore. Getting you that much closer to BrownMan’s 140782.

Preorder ODST – help Bungie
If you haven’t preordered Halo 3: ODST yet, Bungie has actually put an Amazon link in their blog – looks like if you use it to order, they get a cut! (Sort of makes you wonder if MS is actually paying them for this game…) Go support Bungie – order with their link!(Louis Wu 19:03:02 UTC)
