This is a Halo: Reach community montage from Reddit’s Halo community, edited by Theorix and put together with help from ManWithoutModem. The gameplay is good, featuring clips from a large selection of maps and game types, including a ridiculous spinning ninja on Sanctuary. The editing is very good, showcasing a lot of very creative, well-done cinematography, a ton of spot-on syncing, and a strong flow. Enjoy!

Sometimes we ask you questions on Twitter. Occasionally you answer. This is one of those times.

    Finish this sentence:
You know you play too much Halo when…

You’re more concerned about how many credits you have instead of your bank account balance. -@CortanaV

Every time you go to the doctor, you keep wanting to call her Halsey. -@SithKnightmare

You play “Sacred Icon Suite 2” when taking off in an airplane. -@CrazedOne1988

You play four straight hours of Team Slayer in the ranked playlist…as a warm-up. -@WVCW32Bit

You look at a field or city block and start deciding which game types could be supported and fun to play. -@_Dan_Campbell_

Your dreams have a Motion Tracker. -@RobMitchells

You use the term ‘noob combo’ to describe things that are completely unrelated to video games. -@CruelLEGACEY

You count Jackals in your sleep instead of sheep. -@notoriousJMZ

Your friends have waypoints above their heads. -@OrangeSodaSmurf

Your XBL gamercard of recent games are Halo: Reach, ODST, Waypoint, Halo Wars, & Halo 3. -@itsthesoup

You write hello like Halo. -@GiorgisN

You start looking for a Halo ring using your observatory’s telescope. -@Cyclonic_Jet

You pretend your laser pen is the charging beam of your actual Spartan Laser and make the appropriate sounds. -@7Scooch7

You hear about a pelican, and it doesn’t mean a bird. -@ShannonAla13

You dream about Master Chief. Not that I do or anything… my friend does… I mean… not that I would ask. -@masterchiefFTW

Halo Waypoint put up their latest Halo Bulletin last night, which features some further information on some of the Halo toys shown off at the NY Toy Fair, as well as some thoughts on Master Chief’s new look. Expanding on that thought was the latest “OHI” feature written by Kenneth Scott, Senior Art Director of Halo 4. Definitely some information worth chewing on, so go and check it out! We start off today’s news on a more emotional note… HBO stalwart mad.max paid us a visit to remind us all that it’s been a staggering nine years ago now since the Halo – and more specifically Bungie – community lost one of its brightest beacons, Brian Morden, or *Ar-Isildur as he was known to many. His post gives a link as well to the Foundation set up in his name. If you were never privileged to meet his acquaintance, you’ll want to check out this link, which will give you a glimpse into this amazing person’s life. If you get a chance, stop by the forums and celebrate his legacy by sharing a story. Leaving readers with a good memory and a big smile has to be the best way to remember such an awesome friend. From Alex:

This is a Halo 3/Reach montage from h0lmb0m, edited by himself, entitled “Express.” The gameplay is very good, featuring your traditional Multikills while also featuring your rarer sick single kills and low Multikills. The incredible diversity of this montage keeps it fresh throughout its entirety, and the bloopers/reactions do a fantastic job giving the video a light-hearted, fun atmosphere and conveying the enjoyment that h0lmb0m experienced as he was gathering the footage for this video. The editing is also very good. The syncing and flow are great, and there are some sweet transitions here and there. Overall, there aren’t many videos like this one nowadays, and it’s simply a marvelous experience all around. Enjoy!

Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

The Running Riot Interviews HC Redemption

    From Kete:

The amount of Halo fan films in production are increasing but there is one that is upon us now. The first episode of Helljumper dropped (yeah, I said it) on the interwebs back in January with much fanfare. Tonight we will premiere Episode 2 before it goes public on YouTube later in the night. Following the premiere will be an interview with our guest of the evening, Helljumper’s Director Dan Wang. An amazing opportunity to chat with the creator of the series right after the episode is released.

Join us tonight! Green Room promptly at 7:45pm ET. Premiere and interview at 8!

In a recent unconducted survey, it was found that 87% of HBO members don’t wear pants when reading Hedgemony’s comics. Well may the moon rise on yet another Samurai Fronk masterpiece, as the greatest love-peddler in the southern hemisphere brings us a community-cameo’d Valentine’s Day special edition of our favorite finned fighter. It’s strange. It’s questionable. It’s beautiful. Go and check it out!(GrimBrother One 20:10:04 UTC)
