Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (Hard)
Here is a transcription of Orbital Drop Shock Trooper from Halo 3: ODST.
Credits to Benjamin Bergem aka. The Halo-Dragon for his transcription of this song (http://rampancy.net/blog/HaloDragon/28/11/2009/Orbital_Drop_Shock_Troopers), as I relied rather heavily on his version for the middle section (specifically, bars 69-111, which is almost identical to his version).
This version attempts to incorporate more of the orchestral parts.
The midi took quite a bit of fiddling with dynamics and articulation, but I think it turned out pretty well this time.
As always, pedaling, dynamics and articulation are left to the pianist’s discretion, the sheet music is just a guideline.
Share and enjoy!
6 Dec 09: Slightly edited.
9 Dec 09: Edited again.Difficulty: Quite Hard

UPDATE: The Tourney has been canceled due to lack of interest. It will be replaced with a clan match instead.

Rain for Piano (partial)
This is an extended part not found in “Another Rain”. Benjamin Bergem’s transcription can be used for the rest of the song: http://rampancy.net/blog/HaloDragon/05/10/2009/Another_Rain. After the second “all alone” alto sax solo, insert this music, and then cut back to “Another Rain”. Finale Notepad wouldn’t allow me to have two bass clefs in the staff, so the top line is in treble clef, but should be played an octave lower (8vb). Here’s a video of how I played it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_0-pDpc20o. The zip file contains a Finale Notepad file and a PDF.

Break
AssaultGodzilla stopped in with word of another Halo music video set to Three Days Grace’s ‘Break’ – it uses footage from pretty much every Halo-related product under the sun… but it STILL holds together. Amazing. (Timing and judicious matching of clip to lyrics makes the difference.) I think a fun game might be seeing how many sources you can identify…(Louis Wu 21:12:26 UTC)

RT: Ghosts That Linger
To honor the release of Ghosts That Linger, everyone’s favorite uber-user FinchLynch whipped up a special video based on the Trocadero’s song “Good Fight”, which we used in Episode 100 of RvB:BGC & Episode 19 of Recreation. Give Finch’s video a gander and then, if you feel so inclined, mosey on over to the Rooster Teeth store and get your copy of Ghosts That Linger, which starts shipping in just a few short hours!

RT: Bela Lugosi's Pissed
I’m sure by now that you’ve read about the unstoppable force that is New Moon. I must admit complete ignorance to the series, but I will say this, I want to figure out how the fuck to copy it, and copy it fast.

GI’s Top 200 Games of All Time
Morpheus pointed out an article in the latest issue of Game Informer – it’s their 200th issue, so they put together a ‘Top 200 Games of All Time’ list. Halo was #39, Halo 2 was #110. Neither Halo 3 nor ODST were on the list. This isn’t online at this point.(Louis Wu 18:05:50 UTC)
