Second Traviss Novel coming in 6 months
MixMaker1 noticed an announcement at Tor’s website – the next installment of Karen Traviss’ Halo trilogy (did you know it was the ‘Kilo-Five Trilogy’?) will be out on October 2 – it’s entitled ‘Halo: The Thursday War’. There’s a little bit of information about the book itself in the press release, if you don’t mind a taste of plot and/or motivation. (Louis Wu 19:13:42 UTC)

Halo Waypoint iOS Update
We’re hearing from some people who have upgraded to the latest iOS app that they’re having a few problems. Here is some advice to help you settle in, as you get used to the updated app.
ATLAS purchase
Some people are reporting that after updating the app, they’re being prompted to purchase ATLAS again.
No need to fear; you do not need to buy ATLAS again. Just take the plunge, and click Buy! You will not be charged again. You’ll see a message like this, though:
After you tap OK, ATLAS will be back to normal.
Tip: Did you know that you can re-download Halo Waypoint on as many iOS devices as you’d like (your iPad, your iPhone, your iPod Touch)—and if you’ve purchased ATLAS once, you get it everywhere at no additional charge?
Challenges
Some players are having trouble finding Challenges. In the latest update, we changed the Challenges button into a Waypoint button, so that it would be easy to get to the latest news as well as the forums. But Challenges haven’t gone away!
Just tap Service Record, and then tap Challenges.
Please visit the Halo Waypoint section of our forums if you have additional questions!

Podtacular 277: Armor Lock Discussion
Download
You wanted it, you got it! We discuss armor lock in all of it’s glory and frustration. Being one of the most controversial things in Reach, there’s a lot to say: not just about armor lock, but armor abilities in general and how they have evolved in Halo. There exists a definite split between those who love armor lock and use it, and those who won’t even touch it with a 9-and-a-half foot pole. Joining in on the discussion is Kete from The Running Riot, Old Regime, Greenskull from Ready Up Live, and Slightly Live from Forward Unto Dawn. Enjoy your ears being assaulted for 2+ hours 🙂
