    From Machinima:

Steve and Larson tackle an argument of the ages: which nefarious AI is the more evil, Halo’s 343 Guilty Spark or Portal 2’s Wheatley?

  • Tattoo Tuesday: Hooray!

Some people show their love for Halo by playing the games. Others get a relevant image permanently placed upon their body. Enjoy this particular example of a Halo-related body modification, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

    From populatehalo3:

On April 7, 2012, a mass gathering is going to occur. For the first time in over a year, Halo 3 is going to be populated, and not by a small amount either. It will be populated by a large amount of people, effectively bringing back the days of when Halo 3 was a social experience. Hope to see you there!

  • Test Night with a Cartographer: 4.4.12

    From AgentPaperCraft:

Test Night with a Cartographer is a weekly event dedicated to the forgers of Waypoint. Bring your map and your “A” game as we provide professional feedback on your custom content creations. We start at 6pm on Wednesdays, and we test a variety of content throughout the night. The cool thing about this event is you have the possibility of having your content considered for matchmaking through the Community Cartographers, which is a major stepping stone in getting your name out there as a forger. More information can be found here.

Join us this week as we test Invasion and Big Team Battle maps!

    From The Little Moa:

This is the second act of the Wings of Equilibria storyline. In this episode, we are fully introduced to the characters of Solstice’s cause: Solstice, Harrier, Orpe Konaree, and The AI BERYL. We also witness a heated discussion between members of the Vanguards of Sangheilios after Chapter I’s events. How are the two linked?

  • Huge Halo Collection for Sale

T07WRX5 is selling a TRUCKLOAD (literally, it seems) of Halo action figures – swing by his post to see the list, and his asking prices. There are links to photo sets on Facebook showing off what he’s selling, so you can see quality, too. His loss could be your gain!(Louis Wu 14:07:14 UTC)

  • Cool art from Alex Chu

Hrm. Der Flatulator turned up some pretty cool bits of concept art I don’t think I’ve seen before on the blog of Alex Chu – Check out an early campaign scene on Reach, an imagining of Forge World, and a very green Reflection. In fact, going through his Environmental Concepts page, I haven’t seen MOST of this stuff! (This stuff has definitely been seen before by SOME; if you visit Forward Unto Dawn’s Concept Art gallery, most of these images are in there… but if I missed ’em, maybe you did too.)(Louis Wu 13:53:47 UTC)

  • Big Numbers, Big Coverage

Bungie’s farewell-to-stats infographic (we mentioned it on Saturday) got coverage in a pretty big mainstream outlet today – USA Today ran a piece about it. Go Bungie! (Thanks, Billy Spurgeon.)(Louis Wu 13:53:02 UTC)

  • Breaking In: Jim Levasseur

Jim Levasseur is a new hire at Bungie (he’s been working there since January), so he doesn’t have any Halo development experience under his belt… but if you’re interested in getting into the video game industry, the Breaking In series that Bungie posts regularly is a resource you simply shouldn’t miss. Go see where Jim came from – and how he got the job he’s in now!(Louis Wu 13:43:28 UTC)

  • Practical Jumping on Reach Ep 2: MLG Zealot v7

Tashi’s released the second in his series of practical jumps videos – this one focuses on useful ledges and such on Zealot (the MLG v7 version). Worth a watch!(Louis Wu 13:41:45 UTC)

  • CC Spotlight: Phoenix

Hyokin stopped in to point out a new interview of Reaver Phoenix over at the Community Customs website – if you play customs with this group, get to know your fellow players!(Louis Wu 21:14:15 UTC)

    From Alex:

This is Chao’s final Halo: Reach montage, edited by himself. There’s pretty much no editing whatsoever, but the gameplay is quite good, showcasing a ton of nice Multikills. Enjoy!

  • This Week’s Bulletin – 4.5.12

    Halo: Reach Screenshot

This week’s Bulletin will be published on Thursday instead of Wednesday. Yes, there’s a reason. And this time, it’s not because I forgot to look at my calendar, either!

Warning: Late news is small. I mean small news is late. I mean… well, both statements are accurate, so I’ll just leave it at that. Until then….
