The birth of an icon
So if you don’t visit NeoGAF, you’re missing some fun stuff. Junior Member Flipyap looked at the GI cover a couple of days ago, and posted a cropped shot of Kat’s shoulder. Since not everyone got the point, Flipyap made it clearer – and soon after, even pointed out the little guy’s name. RT: The saddest thing ever
i don’t know if we talked about it on the site or not, but Burnie and Jack rented out a theater to watch the National Championship game Thursday (not just any theater, THE theater). It was most likely the coolest thing either has ever done, or obviously will do. I was a bit intimidated by watching my dear sweet Alabama play with 120 UT fans, but thankfully Nathan and his wife showed up and confused everyone – taking all of the pressure off me.

The Making of ‘Origins I’
Halo Waypoint has posted The Making of ‘Origins I’, the Legends episode we saw on Waypoint last week. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the building of this overarching storyline, and it includes tons of footage from the second half of Origins (which none of us will be able to see before Legends is released on DVD at the end of February). Well, the big news of yesterday afternoon was the announcement of Game Informer’s February issue – Scotty, on our forum, was the first word I saw. There are Twitter updates from GI editors and tidbits all over the place – GI will be releasing new Reach information nearly every other day through the month. AH: NBA Live 07: 1000 Online last chance
Months ago, Mike alerted us to the joint communities effort to grab the NBA Live 07 achievement for playing online with 1000 other people present. EA have confirmed the servers for this game to be shut down on Feb 2nd. 360Voice and XBox360Achievements have set the date and time, Sunday January 31st at the following times:
7PM: Central Europe (GMT +1)
We’ll post a reminder closer to the date, but for now you’ve got plenty of notice to get the game and try to gain some of the other achievements.
6PM: UK (GMT)
1PM: US Eastern (GMT -5)
Noon: US Central (GMT -6)
11AM : US Mountain (GMT -7)
10AM : US Western (GMT -8)
