BesTMaN – Halo: Reach Minitage
RVideo sent word of a new minitage from BesTMaN, with editing by Chaos. I could do without the minute-long intro and the 30 outro on a sub-five-minute video… but the gameplay’s great, and the editing is pretty fun to watch. (I’m not a huge jetpack fan, but the 360° beatdown on Countdown seems like a fantastic use of the AA.) Go check this out – and hope you don’t meet BesTMaN in matchmaking. (Louis Wu 16:04:26 UTC)

Podtacular 287: Halo 4 Armory
Download
The weapons in the Halo Universe have been iconic throughout video games, and the new Railgun will be no exception. There are many similarities between the Railgun as described by Game Informer and other weapons that we’ve seen throughout the history of Halo. To help us shoot our way out of this news, we have Greenskull and JakFireDragon. Enjoy

Sackin’ it Up
After closing down a whole bunch of files this afternoon, I found a note I’d made last night about the newest Mail Sack on Bungie.net – you should go read it. There are a couple of clips from the Halo 2 Limited Edition DVD, and a funny story about a Reach bug (and its resolution) that made me smile… and lots and lots and lots of other stuff. Pro Tip – don’t start the video that shows ‘Clarissa Explains it All’ in the preview image. (Louis Wu 19:52:18 UTC)

It’s fun, all over again!
It’s not Halo-related… but it’s pretty exciting. Bungie’s Marcus Lehto tweeted that the project he’s currently working on (not Destiny) has its first playable prototype up and running… and he’s having a blast. How great is that? Thanks, ncsuDuncan.(Louis Wu 18:10:19 UTC)

Behind the Frontlines: Preventing an Uprising
Dani wrote up a new Behind the Frontline article for Forward Unto Dawn – it’ll make you think about the purpose that the extended universe content is supposed to serve. Are the Halo-related books and comics supposed to prime you for playing the next game – or are they supposed to stand on their own, and give you a different window into the reality touched upon by the games? Go read and decide.(Louis Wu 17:41:40 UTC)

Mator’s Halo Stunting

Many thousands of words
A side benefit of playing online with Hedgemony is that you might end up looking spectacular in some after-the-fact panoramas. Such a fate befell Kanbo this morning, when Hedge posted some beautiful pics created from gameplay that took place last night. (Hedge can make anything look beautiful – he also posted some pics of Halo 3 Flood that make me want to go out and dance in a field of flowers.)(Louis Wu 17:36:37 UTC)
