There was a new Ride-Along post on Bungie.net last night – but it wasn’t the normal type. This time, Bungie asked fans to envision what a battle between the UNSC and the Star Wars Imperial Empire might look like… and fans delivered. Go see. (There was also some playing – as any Ride-Along should have – from the artists that submitted entries. Comments come after the pics.)

It’s sort of old (last summer) – but I’d never seen it before reading Kibbles’ post on NeoGAF this morning. DomesticMango created a video in GTA IV, showing ‘The After Years‘… and you thought he was headed to Requiem. Pfft.(Louis Wu 14:42:16 UTC)
Looks like that Game Informer vid was half of a two-part article – I guess it went up on YouTube (and was found) before the article itself went up on Game Informer’s website. You can go visit there, though, because there’s a second video, discussing the future of the Halo Wars franchise. Thanks, CyReN.(Louis Wu 19:49:14 UTC)
Game Informer just posted a new interview bit with Frankie, in which he discusses how 343 is handling the expanding Halo universe, and why things are changing from the early days. Go watch! Thanks, Dani.(Louis Wu 19:33:59 UTC)
HRSotD (short for Halo: Reach Screenshot of the Day) is a daily feature dedicated to the wonders of Halo: Reach screenshots and the artists that capture these amazing images. A variety of shots—all of which are completely unaltered and captured in Halo: Reach's theater mode—are included for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy the varied selection of images, and maybe even find inspiration to make your own!
This is the second Halo: Reach minitage of MLG pro Best Man, edited by Chaos. The gameplay is good, featuring a lot of nice Multikills and a ton of known names. The editing is good too, showcasing good syncing and a lot of wonderfully done transitions. Enjoy!
Firestream let us know that the Halo Ring website has been massively overhauled – more room for more sites (including a sub-ring for sites of any size!), plus news from around the Haloverse. (Right now, that seems to be the HBO news feed, but keep an eye on the page for more stuff.) If you’re interested in joining the ring, let Firestream know!
Not long ago, OboeCrazy set up a Kickstarter project to expand her Musiter offerings – she’d promised to deliver more Halo content, if funded. She was funded – and delivery starts now. She stopped in to our forum with word of the new content, and a bit of info about the future. Go read, go watch! (headline hijacked by Grim <3)(Louis Wu 16:57:33 UTC)
Mirel dropped by with a hilarious Top 10 video that he found. It documents probably the greatest single thing about the Rooster Teeth “Fails of the Weak” series: Geoff’s infectiously awesome laugh. Go and check this out, I challenge you to not have a better day after watching it!(GrimBrother One 16:45:11 UTC)
Robowski let us know that Post Game Carnage Report 114 is live – Halo 4 release speculation, the Halo 4 Play Event a couple of weeks ago, and a big forum announcement! Go listen.(Louis Wu 16:43:01 UTC)
This is the fourth act of the Wings of Equilibria storyline. In this episode, Solstice the Equilibrium Vagabond has been captured by The Coalition of Rebels led by a sadistic man by the name of Vulpes Shadeheart. Fearing for his life, Shaak, Orpe, Harrier, Martin, and BERYL begin their plan to save him from the Empire’s clutches. Sadly, tensions begin to rise from misunderstandings that were created in the previous chapters and rescuing him might not be easy. Will they be able to rescue Solstice in time?
We got word from NOKYARD that the High Speed Halo crew is kicking off a new community speed run project – Halo 3 Done Segmented. (This has already been done with Halo and Halo 2 – the projects let multiple speedrunners contribute their per-level expertise to a product that shows off some of the faster tricks out there. Because the levels are done individually, the runners don’t need to be cautious – if something goes wrong, a re-run isn’t the end of the world. What the viewer is left with is pure, unadulterated speed. They’re currently looking for both runners and suggestions for runners – swing by the dedicated forum and see what you can add!(Louis Wu 13:35:15 UTC)
Just realized we’re WAY behind on Achievement HORSE vids; here are the ones we’ve missed. Episodes 71 and 72 were actually using Trials Evolution… but then they got back to Halo. Ep 73: AH | YT and Ep 74: AH | YT both went live without our notice. And while you’re watching Rooster Teeth Vids we’re behind on, go check out Fails of the Weak 84 (AH | YT), because we missed that one, too.
