It’s prudent to prepare for failure.
Episode 8 of Red vs Blue Season 10 went live last night – and there’s some footage you might recognize. Tucker hits on Carolina, Delta makes a Freelancer pilot uncomfortable, and Wash considers drowning in his own vomit. Go watch!(Louis Wu 12:20:47 UTC)

A bunch of new content from RUL’s Greenskull – yesterday, his interview of Tom Green (who plays Thomas Lasky in Forward Unto Dawn) went live on Halo Waypoint, and right after, he released an impressions video made recently with CruelLEGACEY in Toronto, discussing the high points of the trip to the FUD set they made with GrimBrother One to Vancouver back in May. Go watch both – they’re fun!(Louis Wu 11:38:48 UTC)

Delivering Hope
The most recent Beyond the Frontline article at Forward Unto Dawn focuses on… well, Forward Unto Dawn. (No, not the site – the webseries.) It’s a look at a new(ish) style of advertising, and a way to turn difficult realities into successes fans want. Thanks, davidfuchs.(Louis Wu 11:36:17 UTC)

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn – Interview with Tom Green
From Greenskull:I had the opportunity to fly to Vancouver, BC and check out the set of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. I was joined by my fellow Halo Waypoint Monitors and community members Nevin Douglas (CruelLEGACEY) and Jeff Easterling (GrimBrotherOne). We hung around the set, met the cast and crew, and filmed some interviews with the talented actors and 343 Industries employees that helped make the series possible.
In this video I interview Tom Green, the talented dancer-turned-actor who plays the role of Thomas Lasky in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.

Community Member of the Week: Daedalos42
Every Monday, we feature a community member who does one or more of the following things: routinely goes above and beyond for their fellow forum members, is a positive and active member of the community, and/or sends me mass amounts of cat pictures. This week our Community Member of the Week is Daedalos42. Read a little more about this particular fan below, then hit their profile to learn their opinion on the unicorn of the sea!
Gamertag: Daedalos42.
Origin of gamertag: Greek myths, birthday (June 9 = 6 and 9; 6 x 9 = 42).
Current clan/community: RVBW, BWO, and, of course, Waypoint and HBO.
Halo game(s) you are currently playing: Reach, ODST, and 3 Multiplayer.
Favorite map, game type and playlist: Superstition; KotH; Anniversary and customs.
Least favorite map, game type and playlist: Sword Base; Headhunter; Firefight Arcade.
Preferred control scheme: Bumper Jumper (sometimes Green Thumb); Sensitivity: 4; Non-inverted.
Halo weapon specialty/preference: The Magnum and Plasma Pistol at close range, and the DMR at long range.
Halo playing style (offense, defense, sniper, driver, etc.): Whatever I feel like doing at the moment. In Slayer, I mostly stay back and only go into the midst of a battle when I see an opening. In objective games, I usually stay near my base to guard it or drive my teammates around the map.
Favorite character: Douglas 042 (for obvious reasons).
Favorite book: Ghosts of Onyx or Primordium.
Favorite Halo quote: “Jumping feet first into hell isn’t your job, making sure it’s crowded when you get there, is.” (From one of the Armour Permutation descriptions in Reach.)
Anything else we should know? I misplaced my mic soon after I got my Xbox, so I’m not able to talk in-game. I am a casual player, and pretty mediocre, but that doesn’t stop me from having fun playing video games. I also enjoy having discussions online with fellow community members.

Halo: Reach – The Movie
The Tyrant continues his series of Halo games, played in their entirety (including cutscenes), with Halo: Reach – The Movie. It’s a five-and-a-half hour extravaganza, played at Heroic (like the rest in the series), and gives you a way to experience (or relive) the entire game in one fell swoop. (Louis Wu 16:48:37 UTC)

Reach Weekly Challenge – 7.23.12
Last week, your Halo: Reach Weekly Challenge involved completing Exodus. There’s only one logical level to play after that one, and that’s Tip of the Spear.
TIP OF THE SPEAR: LASO – 13,000cR
Complete Tip of the Spear, Legendary, All Skulls On (LASO).
Okay, so maybe going from mission seven to mission five doesn’t make the most sense, but that’s okay. Forget the specifics, grab some teammates, and go play!
