The Running Riot – Going Meta
Kete stopped by to announce a couple of things earlier this week; apologies for neglecting to point this out. The Running Riot podcast will be kicking off a couple of new formats this month – Spectator Mode will have TRR doing a live recording of OTHER podcasts… on their show. Think of it as a podcast within a podcast. And Riot Sandbox will open the discussion up to whatever you’d like to talk about – think of it as an open mic night. Check out the post for details! The first Spectator Mode ‘cast will be with the Forward Unto Dawn crew, tomorrow night at 9pm Eastern. Tune in!(Louis Wu 15:59:37 UTC)

Only YOU can save the Warthogs.
Heh – pretty cool. t00lbox found that if you skip the cave tunnel you need to walk through at the beginning of Requiem, the Warthogs on the other side don’t get destroyed! (So… it looks like YOU’RE responsible for blowing those bad boys up. Nice going… jerk.) Check it out – then try it for yourself!(Louis Wu 15:39:31 UTC)

Closing out the year, Bulletin-Style
The last Halo Bulletin for 2012 dropped last night, as well – there’s a little info about new playlists (say goodbye to Slayer Pro for a bit), an interview with Josh Holmes, an update about Fileshares (not going to be operational for a while) and the Crimson Map Pack (they’re sticking to the ’14 Day Buy and Play’ story they came up with to explain the confusion earlier this week), and some other tidbits. Go read! (It’s local, as well, if you’d rather a lighter experience.)(Louis Wu 17:37:00 UTC)

Check out Astroturf (another Turf remake), Keystone (a reimagining of Foundation), and Forsaken (a rebuild of Desolation, itself a rebuild of the first game’s Derelict). Nice!(Louis Wu 17:28:43 UTC)
