Catching up with Waypoint
Stuff we neglected to highlight on Halo Waypoint yesterday: there was an update to the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge (this week’s list is Dominion, and it’s the last week to qualify… and there was an interview with Sotaro Tojima about the sound design of Halo 4. Good stuff! (There’s plenty more – they’re back from vacation – but you should explore on your own.)(Louis Wu 18:46:43 UTC)

The Chronicles of ODS Steve #90

From DeepCee:I know updates from me have been lacking the last couple of months. I sincerely apologize for that. It was a busy time in my life that sadly meant I had to put Steve on the back burner for a while.
Time moved on and we came to the release of Halo 4. The urge to continue Steve’s story was coming back to me. A new trilogy. New enemies. Where could Steve’s adventures take him? These were questions I wanted to answer.
Two years since the last episode, I think it’s time we started this up again. I will do my best to keep to a weekly schedule of releasing a new comic every Monday or Wednesday. Work does get in the way sometimes, so I hope you will bear with me during those busy times ahead.
Having said that…let’s kick things off, shall we?!

Honor Guard – A Memorial Video for Dalcaeus
From LordGideon:Last month SSG Rhys aka “Dalcaeus” passed away. He passed away because he lost his fight with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and took his own life. He was a USMC veteran and a friend to everyone he met. He was a member of Sword and Shield Gaming and also had hundreds of friends who weren’t just in SSG, but also Tied the Leader and the PraetoriaGuard. In his memory, we built a video that’s half Machinima farewell and half community members encouraging those that need help to get it.
Gone, but never forgotten. Godspeed, Daniel.

Interactive Episodic Halo Storytelling
TellTale Games, the company behind The Walking Dead episodic game (the final episode of Season 1 was released in November, and was available on Xbox LIVE in its entirety for $10 during the week leading up to New Years Day), has said it would be interested in fleshing out the Halo universe (among other places). I bet they’d do a fantastic job! Thanks to randomrosso, who found this at VideoGamer.com (the original interview was on Red Bull’s UK site). (Louis Wu 18:55:40 UTC)

Walshy’s first impressions on MLG’s v1 settings
Walshy released a video with impressions about the first set of MLG Halo 4 settings – if you don’t keep up on this stuff, his analysis is pretty helpful in figuring out what’s what. (He’s got a good perspective on competitive gameplay, and where it fits in the Halo universe.) Plus, there’s a cat. Go watch! Thanks, Tashi. (Louis Wu 18:49:58 UTC)
