Halo 4 Campaign Screen Caps

From halo.bungie.org:FyreWulff uploaded hundreds of native 720p screen caps of Halo 4’s campaign cinematics and levels. It is a nice reminder of how fantastic the art, cinematography and lighting is in Halo 4. Now I can sit and marvel at the the game’s beauty without being slaughtered by Promethean and Covenant forces. Thanks, Fyrewulff!

Waiting To Link Up With The BNet
Bungie.net is undergoing some maintenance, or should I say housekeeping – fear not, everything should be back to normal soon. For those of you itching for details, Urk commented on the matter. He also informed us that the site will be in beta for a bit. Since you can’t post as of now, you might as well enjoy reading what these circle of jurks have to say.(mastrbiggy 08:22:18 UTC)

You Mod?
TehBanStick was able to access hidden Halo 4 map files (by modding) and discovered some cool stuff (Monochron warned about spoilers, beware). It seems that the Reach DMR model is still part of the code, but what I find most interesting are the never before seen weapons, particularly the ‘Bishop Beam’. It looks very similar to the Forerunner weaponry from Halo Legends. Pretty neat find! Thanks, ZaneZavin2.(mastrbiggy 07:44:28 UTC)

A kind benefactor provided us with a whole bunch of Halo 4 Premium Haven themes for your Xbox LIVE dashboard (here’s a pic of what it looks like, on the Home screen). Normally, these themes cost 240 MS Points, but we’re giving ’em away for free! If you want one, just swing by this page to grab a code. (Don’t be greedy, please…) Update: looks like a batch of codes got included that had already been used. Catching up with Waypoint
Stuff we neglected to highlight on Halo Waypoint yesterday: there was an update to the Halo 4 Infinity Challenge (this week’s list is Dominion, and it’s the last week to qualify… and there was an interview with Sotaro Tojima about the sound design of Halo 4. Good stuff! (There’s plenty more – they’re back from vacation – but you should explore on your own.)(Louis Wu 18:46:43 UTC)

The Chronicles of ODS Steve #90

From DeepCee:I know updates from me have been lacking the last couple of months. I sincerely apologize for that. It was a busy time in my life that sadly meant I had to put Steve on the back burner for a while.
Time moved on and we came to the release of Halo 4. The urge to continue Steve’s story was coming back to me. A new trilogy. New enemies. Where could Steve’s adventures take him? These were questions I wanted to answer.
Two years since the last episode, I think it’s time we started this up again. I will do my best to keep to a weekly schedule of releasing a new comic every Monday or Wednesday. Work does get in the way sometimes, so I hope you will bear with me during those busy times ahead.
Having said that…let’s kick things off, shall we?!

Honor Guard – A Memorial Video for Dalcaeus
From LordGideon:Last month SSG Rhys aka “Dalcaeus” passed away. He passed away because he lost his fight with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and took his own life. He was a USMC veteran and a friend to everyone he met. He was a member of Sword and Shield Gaming and also had hundreds of friends who weren’t just in SSG, but also Tied the Leader and the PraetoriaGuard. In his memory, we built a video that’s half Machinima farewell and half community members encouraging those that need help to get it.
Gone, but never forgotten. Godspeed, Daniel.
