Goodies from Waypoint
I wasn’t around yesterday afternoon, but Halo Waypoint put up a couple of great tidbits – there’s a video from a Halo 4 tourney held in Afghanistan at a Forward Operating Base, to blow off steam, and there’s a Halo 4 emblem generator put together by Furiousn00b (so you can experiment with a mouse and keyboard before you use the controller interface to finalize your choice online).(Louis Wu 15:26:12 UTC)

Italian Translation of A Sangheili’s War Is Never Over

From Alex “joystikX” Bezzola:Half a year ago, we translated and published A Fistful of Arrows, probably the best graphic novel of Halo ever made by a fan (and, according to some, even among the official ones). We currently have the translation of another work by the same author, A Sangheili’s War Is Never Over. Compared to the previous comic, this is much shorter (18 pages compared to more than 80) and shows us the events after the end of Halo 3, in a period of instability and rebirth throughout the galaxy.

Halo 4 Emblem Generator

From Furiousn00b:
I whipped up a Halo 4 Emblem Generator for everyone to use. It pulls the emblems straight from Halo 4 metadata – so you can be sure that it includes every emblem foreground, background and color. It should automatically update if new emblems are ever added, too. Enjoy!

Want some flan made of you’re dead?
Clueless Gamer Conan O’Brien (hey, don’t get mad at me, it’s what he calls the segment) reviewed Halo 4 – it contains a 2 minute summary of the Halo story (leave it to Conan to tie Bill Cosby into Halo), and then some… interesting gameplay. Absolutely worth a watch. Thanks, thebruce0.(Louis Wu 14:46:28 UTC)

In the second installment of Bungie Community Theater, Deej says that Bungie has been working for years “under the cover of darkness” on a new universe, but that what they’ve been creating will be unveiled “within a matter of weeks”.

The Beatles Machinithology – or part of it
Firestorm12 let us know about a cancelled project he’s been working on for years – he calls it ‘The Beatles Machinithology’, and the vision was a fourteen-part music video series made with as many Halo games as possible. Circumstances were such that the project has been canned – so he’s releasing the three segments that HAVE been finished. Go watch:- The Beatles Machinithology – Because
- The Beatles Machinithology – Blackbird/Yesterday
- The Beatles Machinithology – Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?
Interesting camera work, great music – how can you go wrong? (Louis Wu 22:44:41 UTC)

Lifting Skir- um, Curtains
According to the timestamp on the article, we missed this last night, apparently… but it’s more likely that the stamp’s a bit inaccurate. In any case, Bungie.net has a new dramatic reading available for your viewing pleasure – Halo Lover waxes nearly poetic about his love of the series, and Deej offers tantalizing hints of the future. Go watch! (Grizzlei kicked off a thread on our forum, if you want to discuss it.)(Louis Wu 20:53:33 UTC)
