Fallen Throne
I’m not sure if all Fallen have four arms or what… but this guy certainly does. Perhaps he’s one of those dudes that are called “spider pirates”– but only unofficially. Not sure who made that one up– maybe the IGN guys?

Halo IRL: A Spartan a Day
Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

One heck of a Halo outfit
Wow – someone is selling a suit of Halo armor… that’s actually made of body armor. (The claims it makes are questioned by Bry in this post… but the bottom line is, this isn’t just a costume.) It ain’t priced like a costume, either – starting bid is $13,500. Wowsers! (Thanks, The Lionheart.)(Louis Wu 17:49:28 UTC)

Bungie Alums Resurface With Familiar-Looking Project
Bungie co-founder Alexander Seropian, who left Bungie after Halo 1 to found Wideload Games back in Chicago, has found himself a new gig: he’s teaming up with another Bungie alum, Brent Pease of Oni fame, and Tim Harris, co-founder of Industrial Toys. They’re making a mobile shooter called Morning Star, as well as an interactive comic as a companion piece called Morning Star Alpha.
The sample art for Morning Star Alpha, visible at the top of the Industrial Toys page, features a girl in a glowing purple outfit and wearing a Nintendo power glove, and a space marine in green armor.
I’m getting a certain feeling of deja vu…

Tyrant’s Halo 4 Legendary Walkthrough – Reclaimer
From MythicTyrant:With Infinity back on the offensive, it launches the fleet’s largest land-based vehicle – the Mammoth – to aid the Master Chief in bringing down the Gravity Well. Unfortunately, a series of particle cannons stand in the way between him and success, and only the Chief can bring them down.
This week, we’ve upped the stakes a bit by activating both Mythic and Tilt skulls, bringing enemies to their HIGHEST health capabilities. On the plus side, what works for them also works for you. While this approach isn’t typically recommended, it comes in handy for speed runs and missions involving many skips.
Editor’s note: Language is mature. Proceed with caution.

Successful Troll Is Successful
An obvious troll slings some mud at Bungie and manages to provoke a thoughtful resopnse from Achronos about Bungie’s plans for deep social integration between Bungie.net and Destiny:
This web site is designed for a game you know little about. It is designed for both familiar and unfamiliar social interactions. It our platform for the future – not a marketing site, but a place to grow the community of our new universe from. It has some holes, some rough edges, sure. Your irrational fear of the words “social media” is just that: irrational. You’ve been part of a social media site for a while – bungie.net has always been one.
Check out the thread, but don’t feed the troll.

Predestination Is Pre-Sorted Mail
Bungie’s first Mail Sack since the Destiny reveal is open for questions at Bungie.net. Deej also includes word that “a steady cadence of updates” is planned, so if the reveal only left you wanting more, don’t worry, it’s coming.
So go ahead and submit your questions!

Previews Aren’t The Problem
While he specifically mentions Aliens: Colonial Marines and not the press coverage of Bungie’s Destiny reveal, Ben Kuchera‘s latest piece at Penny Arcade Report is about the shortcomings of game journalism, and makes a nice bookend to Matt Soell‘s piece about transparency.
