The Code Solving Pace Increases
Another map pack, another glyph code – GunRunner48 informed us that the Section 3 crowd has already decrypted the code buried in the Majestic Map Pack. Swing by the Section 3 Completed Glyph Sequences page for the solution, or the Halo Waypoint forums for a blow-by-blow breakdown. (We found the resulting concept art gallery a bit difficult to see, so we put up a local copy.)(Louis Wu 22:05:34 UTC)

Bungie’s Parsons Talks Halo, Destiny With VentureBeat
VentureBeat’s Dean Takahashi has interviewed Bungie COO Pete Parsons about his role with the Halo and Destiny franchises originated by Bungie. Quite a few interesting tidbits in there, but perhaps the most interesting one reaffirms the origins of the idea behind the new IP:
Destiny is very much a product of everybody at Bungie, but its inception comes from Jason [Jones, co-founder of Bungie]. This is very much a vision that Jason has. Then, he gathers a small group of really talented people who have been here a long time, and they begin hammering on it. It’s had multiple incarnations until it finally landed into what it is today. That’s fun to watch. Not just on technology, but art and story. […] As naive as this may sound, if Jason believes in something and he’s ready to go for it, I’m in.

You Got Some Halo 3 In My Halo 4
TheIncomeTaxes and Insane Alpha Beta found what I think is the coolest Halo 4 easter egg so far – they found images of Tsavo Highway from Halo 3 cleverly hidden in some of the Forge piece reflections. You can see the giant storm cloud and even the broken bridge where the giant Covenant cruiser flies overhead. Go check it out! Thanks, wwm0nkey.(mastrbiggy 09:05:58 UTC)

As Constant As The Morning Star
Last week we saw that Bungie alums Alexander Seropian (Marathon, Halo, Stubbs the Zombie) and Brent Pease (Oni) had formed a new group, Industrial Toys, working on a mobile shooter, Morning Star, bearing more than a passing resemblance to everyone’s favorite green cyborg and purple AI girl game. Now there’s an HD trailer, a two part documentary (one, two) up on their YouTube channel.
All have been added to our movies section tagged “industrialtoys“.
Unsurprisingly, the documentary is planned to have 7 parts.

Welcome to Majestic
A couple of days ago, we mentioned ‘Welcome to Landfall’ – and then yesterday, Halo Waypoint released ‘Welcome to Monolith‘. Today, they finish up the series with ‘Welcome to Skyline‘ – if you haven’t checked these out, they’re a great way to get familiar with the maps before you get your hands on them! (The video footage was already seen in the BTS released in last Wednesday’s Bulletin, but the loadout/weapon spawn/overhead content in the articles is great.)(Louis Wu 23:53:03 UTC)
