The 2012 Lars Cup
Last year, at PAX Prime, a bunch of Halo fans got together and celebrated international chocolate. This event has been covered before – but Greenskull from ReadyUpLive went just a little farther. MastaSin In Destiny, can we play as the aliens or are we locked to the human race? And if we are, why are we locked to the human race? What’s the reason?
Deej Not all of the aliens in Destiny are evil, just like not all humans are good. We’ve barely scratched the surface on the character and customization options you’ll have access to in Destiny, but we’re not going to dig in any deeper today.
I believe one of the early IGN stories seemed to indicate that players would only be humans, but this seems to cast a bit of doubt.

Forge Hub’s 2v2 Halo 4 Tournament

Welcome, friends! On this most special of occasions, we’ve gathered together to enjoy yet another competitive tournament hosted by Forge Hub. As you can hopefully tell, this tournament is going to be a 2 versus 2 shindig, played on a menagerie of community-generated maps. So, if you and a friend think you’ve got what it takes to be the best two man army on Forge Hub (or just have a bit of competitive fun) then this is the place for you!
This tournament’s goal is to combine two things that we love here on the Hub: creating maps and playing Halo! Once again we’re asking our community to step up and create maps to host 2v2 matches on, so that we can give as much power to the community as possible. In this tournament, we’re hoping to have as many maps as possible be community made. Like in our last recent tournament, we’ll be judging the maps based on a mathematical system, picking maps that will play the absolute best with the 2v2 Dust-Up game type.

Earlier this week, 343i released their Castle Map Pack Trailer giving us the first glimpse into the last map pack they announced back before the game’s release in November. In this week’s bulletin, more details for the medium-sized, vehicle heavy maps Perdition, Daybreak and Outcast were unveiled with more to come next week from media outlets. We slip into an early discussion about what 343 Industries needs to do to win back the core Halo crowd for the Halo franchise, but it’s a good discussion about multiple aspects about the current franchise standing. Nothing big on the playlist side of things other than more fine tuning, but with the promise of the “X” when you die. This week’s question: if you were the last of your race and about to activate the Halo array to wipe out all life in the galaxy, what would be your last words?
