I need more walls.
Wow. Last week we mentioned the Silent Cartologist, a site devoted to custom poster-style art inspired by the Halo universe. Its creator (curator?) returned today, with three new images – they’re spectacular. These would look wonderful on any wall! Go see.(Louis Wu 18:39:54 UTC)

Halo IRL: Hot In Herre
Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

Halo 4 has become MGS Top Seller of All Time
Xbox Wire, the Xbox.com news channel, has an article that states that Halo 4 is now the Top-Selling Microsoft Studios Game of all time in the US. (This is measured by total sales during its launch year – and Halo 4 has surpassed the previous record-holder, Halo 3, in July – just two-thirds of the way through its launch year.) Congrats, 343! Waypoint Weekly Test Nights 7.3.13

From AgentPaperCraft:
Hello, Waypoint goers! With the addition of community-made content into Matchmaking, custom maps and game types have become an integral part of Halo’s Multiplayer. Forgers and game type creators often work hours, days and even months on their content before it’s considered for Matchmaking, and it’s usually the lack of having a ready player-base to test their maps that it takes so long. So I offer an option to our Forgers, a place to bring your maps and game types to have them tested and reviewed by a group of the top Forgers around. You’ll receive top-notch forging tips and tricks to wow your players, improve map spawn and flow, provide a better map experience and get your name out there. You’ll also get to work directly with the Community Cartographers, a select group of community Forge enthusiasts who work with 343 Industries in the search of top-quality content for Matchmaking consideration. Every Wednesday night at 6PM ET, get an invite by sending “AgentPaperCraft” a message over Xbox LIVE, or leave a comment in the Test Night Thread.
Hope to see you there!

Forge Cafe Review Service

From X51000:
For those who haven’t come across me before, I am X51000 and I review maps for Forge Cafe. I am the leader of a small team consisting of me, harry_c0 and Zandril. Originally, we divided the subforums in the Forge Cafe Map Library and were going to go through and review all of the maps on the site. However, we now have a free review service where we will review maps as Forge Cafe members forge them, have already forged, or just specific ones by request. The only requirements are to be a member on Forge Cafe, and fill out this form.
If you have your maps on the site, you can decide if you want your reviews posted directly onto your map post. If you want your reviews private, they will be pm’d to you, but you must at least have your maps on your File Share. Each reviewer has his own style. If you have a preference, there is a dropdown option. The templates used by each reviewer can be found here.
