Xar8 put together a really cool little Master Chief sculpture – and sent us some pics. You’ll find ’em here. I want one!(Louis Wu 14:02:27 UTC)

  • Mac Haul.

    by

    in
Stuntmutt has been playing with new toys. As today’s One One Se7en shows, though, there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch. (I’m going to refrain from any corn references here.)(Louis Wu 13:45:29 UTC)

TheMaker420 sent word of Xbox Gaming Radio (XGR), volume 1 – it contains discussion of many Halo 2-related websites, along with other games. Guest hosts this week are Xetzu and MaCeGac, talking about Oblivion. You can grab a copy from High Impact Noise or 360 Uploads.(Louis Wu 11:25:29 UTC)

  • Zyos Interview at IGN

    by

    in
There’s an interview with Matt ‘Zyos’ Leto over at IGN, as part of the ramp-up to the Championship Gaming Invitational kicking off today. I’m not sure how many top Halo players will actually be there… considering that MLG Chicago kicks off today, as well. Nevertheless, it’s a fine read.(Louis Wu 11:17:31 UTC)

  • New Content at Dead Man’s Hand

    by

    in
Dead Man’s Hand has been busy – lots of new Halo content over there right now. There’s a discussion of story-driven games (using Halo as a positive example), a look at the franchisement of Halo (Masterchief Shampoo… hmm), an Ode to Banshee (you know you love something when you start writing poetry about it), and an interview with Athena Twin PMS, one of the leaders of the PMS gaming clan and a Halo fanatic. There’s plenty of non-Halo content as well… so get to reading! (Thanks to Dweezle for stopping by and letting us know.)(Louis Wu 11:08:40 UTC)

    For PSP – 8 Pages – 625KB

  • Thank you, Dialpex!

Now that I’m back from kickboxing heaven, I’d like to say an extra-special thank you to everyone’s favorite bald bodybuilding motorcycle enthusiast: Dialpex! He’s been doing an awesome job keeping the show and the community/website going. Three cheers to the giant muscle-bound phone!

P.S. We’ll be recording on Sunday afternoon this week instead of Thursday night, so you have a little extra time to get those jokes, glitching tips, campaign tips, community news, halo news, and web resources in to get on the show. DO IT NOW!

KP has put up Bungie’s side of the Halo Humpday Challenge story – and surprisingly enough, with the exception of a few nose-tweaks, he was pretty civil about the whole thing. No mention of the loss of their no-losing streak… but then, they really lost that last week, so I guess he’s being even MORE gentlemanly about it all. Who’da thunk it? Congrats to the Halowiki guys.(Louis Wu 22:39:55 UTC)

  • 2old2play Over 40 Invitational Promo Vid

    by

    in
Interesting – there’s a tournament run the 3rd Tuesday of every month (yes, that
means you missed the most recent one by two days) over at 2old2play – in order to enter, you must be at least 40 years old. jynxonline put together a really nice promo vid for it – swing by and watch it! (Man, a tourney where I’m the YOUNGEST player? I’m there.) From the date on the comments of this article, I’d guess this tourney’s been going for 10 months now… thanks, 3Suns.(Louis Wu 21:42:49 UTC)

trigger119 wrote an article entitled ‘Halo Machinima: Why do it?‘ – he looks at some of the motivations that drive filmmakers. As a jumping-off place for a discussion, this is worth a read.(Louis Wu 21:09:11 UTC)

  • Halo 3 Piano Transcription

    by

    in
Jayshum transcribed the piano part of the Halo 3 theme, heard in the trailer. You can find a lot of info in this forum post.(Louis Wu 21:05:10 UTC)

  • Killed. To Dust.

    by

The Halowiki.net crew played Bungie last night in this week’s Halo Humpday Challenge – and no matter what you thought of last week’s somewhat sleazy manner of ‘not losing’, there’s no denying that this week the Bungie crew lost. Lost hard, even. Go read LegendaryMark’s writeup at HaloWiki.net – KP’s still nursing his wounds, it seems, so the Bungie writeup isn’t online yet. (I’ve never heard of the ‘cycling’ respawn modifier – but it sounds nasty…)(Louis Wu 20:56:28 UTC)

  • Filling in the Blanks

    by

    in
Finn awoke from his real-life ‘slumber’ to gather some gems from older Weekly Updates; they’re not NEW bits, but they’re bits nonetheless. You’ll find this collection on the Halo Story Page. Now don’t bother Finn any more – he’s got work to do. (And not for us.)(Louis Wu 15:02:32 UTC)

  • Halo: First Offensive

    by

    in
Farfalo stopped by to let us know about Halo: First Offensive, a mod for Star Wars: Empire at War. They’ve got a forum up (link is in the above post), if you want more info!(Louis Wu 13:31:51 UTC)

  • Halo 3 Bling

    in
Yayap the Grunt let us know about a Halo 3 pendant he’d created; check out his work! (Louis Wu 13:29:17 UTC)
