It’s about time to talk about everybody’s future favorite game again. This time we’re covering a wide gamut of stuff. Here are some suggestions for things to send in for the show:

1. What do you think of the price hike for the Legendary Edition of Halo 3 to $130? Which edition do you plan to buy?
2. Which are you more excited about: The fiction and art book from the limited edition, or the storyboard art and master chief helmet in the Legendary edition?
3. What do you think of the new Bungie.net? What do you like or dislike about it? Have you found any new secret corners Halo fans would be interested in?
4. How do you think Halo 3 will end? Any ideas on the storyline?
5. If you were a designer for Halo 3, what else would you put in the game? Think of things like maps, weapons, game types, vehicles, or other features. Get creative!
6. What is your favorite color?

As reported by rapture here the Shadowrun Non Disclosure Agreement has been lifted allowing the beta testers to fully talk about the game without worrying about getting a lawsuit slapped on them. This comes soon after a not so smart beta tester decided to break the NDA and post a video of himself playing the game on youtube. The genius also forgot to blur out his gamertag. As I currently understand, videos are still under NDA, but people can now talk about the game without restrictions. Whether or not the lifting of the NDA is related to the video leak is not known, but it doesn’t matter since the cat is already out of the bag. Now, does anybody have some cool things you’d like to share (ahem…) about your experience with the game so far? I’m pretty interested in this game from what I’ve seen of it, but discussion has been limited because of the NDA. I do know that a whole bunch of people are registered for the beta invite, and many more will be invited in the near future.

On the new version of www.Bungie.net we are now able to see our total stats. I was able to copy and paste my stats for all to see. Let’s see what you’re made of.

UPDATE: Since I wrote this entry last week, it was announced that the new Halo 2 multiplayer maps will make some XBL playlists 360-only, since the maps are only being released for the 360. In defense, we’ve been told that most Halo 2 players are using 360s. However, Microsoft does not release breakdowns between the two consoles. Microsoft, I find it hard to believe that so many gamers have drifted away from XBL that there are more Halo 2 players using 360s on XBL than there are on the original console, given that there are three times as many original Xboxes. Players I know that have both prefer to use the original to play online because of the lag caused by emulation.

Is it really necessary to use Halo 2 maps to try and pressure more gamers onto the new platform? Is Halo 3 really so far away that you can’t wait for that to draw gamers to the 360? Is two years really too long to support an online game?

If you want us to believe that original console owners really don’t count, show us the numbers!

GhaleonB, via Louis Wu at HBO, points out that Microsoft has put out a nice press release (even attributed and with a dateline, thanks guys) touting the six million user milestone reached by Xbox Live.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love Xbox Live. While not an ardent online gamer, the service as a whole is well put togther and thought out: the integrated friends list and messaging, content downloads, gamerscore achievements; the works. The idea of separate friends lists for each game (Sony) and cryptic friend codes (Nintendo) really make me wonder what anybody else is thinking as far as online console gaming goes.

However, just because I’ve been a subscriber since Halo 2 launched doesn’t mean I’m ready to drink whatever kool aid Microsoft is going to serve up regarding the service; and this press release is at least as interesting for what it doesn’t say as for what it does say and the way it says it.
