Eighteen. (And Nineteen.)
I’m really not doing very well at keeping up with the One One Se7en Advent offerings; yesterday’s made me laugh, and today’s made me groan. I suppose that’s a decent batting average.(Louis Wu 17:08:15 UTC)

Marketing Tools
Gixar makes an argument that Halo 3 is over-hyped, based on the discrepancy between user and industry scores for it… and wonders about the objectivity of game reviews. (Louis Wu 16:05:55 UTC)

Hail to the king. Duke Nukem Forever.
I could argue that Duke Nukem Forever is the most anticipated first person shooter of all time. Since there are many Halo fans on this website, I won’t do that…
until later. However, this is some of the biggest gaming news in years.
From 3drealms: a video teaser of Duke Nukem Forever will be posted online tomorrow. For now, check out the screenshot found above.

HALOMEN2
In September, we mentioned HALOMEN, a Halo Flash animation at Newgrounds. HALOMEN2 is now up – once again, it’s probably not really safe for work. (Explicit audio, mild adult themes, excessive violence, according to Newgrounds’ rating system.) Where else can you see characters from Halo, Starcraft, and Half-Life all in one place? Thanks, swearingmonk.(Louis Wu 16:44:58 UTC)

Halo 3: Absurd Attach Rate
A bunch of articles have come out recently, talking about how Halo 3’s sales are dropping off – but the real story might be that there aren’t that many more people to BUY the game. GameDaily pointed out yesterday that according to NPD’s numbers, there have been 4.1 million copies of Halo 3 sold in the US – for an installed base of just under 8 million Xboxes. When 52% of the people who CAN buy your game, HAVE bought your game… you can pretty much accept that you’re a success.(Louis Wu 13:12:34 UTC)
