Someone to Watch Over Me
Elnea’s posted Episode 113 of her Halo Action Figure Theater – sometimes, you have to wonder about the honor of your average Spartan. On the plus side, it looks like O’Hara might actually be rescued.(Louis Wu 12:17:45 UTC)

Going Commando.
Last Friday, Bungie mentioned that they’d be unlocking the Commando shoulders for all LIVE users – trust Stuntmutt to find a tasteless way to riff on this in today’s One One Se7en. Honestly…(Louis Wu 20:48:01 UTC)

Splazer Suicide
Pretty cool – The Progn0sticator, aka Lethal Casua1ty, pointed out a thread on Bungie.net which contains a link to a vid he created showing off a pretty entertaining suicide. His teammate tossed a frag grenade just as he fired his Spartan Laser – and the laser blast bounced off the flying grenade and killed him. OUCH! Yet another “if we didn’t have saved films we’d NEVER know how this happened” moment.(Louis Wu 14:21:07 UTC)

Hummer sez No Halo Influence
Miguel Chavez ran across an interview with the Director of Exterior Design of the Hummer HX concept (we mentioned the car a few days ago) – Hummer says they’ve heard the comparisons, but any resemblance to the Halo Warthog is completely coincidental. Funny to hear it asked, though!(Louis Wu 14:15:46 UTC)

IRIS, one last time
Okay, this one’s really sort of odd. We got email from Boolean – he’d been flying around in Google Earth, and discovered a location that, with a Road overlay, looks remarkably (jpeg, 70k) like Adjutant Reflex’s Chrysopteron avatar on Bungie.net. (Remember the IRIS ARG?) If you want to explore the space yourself, grab the .kmz file from our server, and import it into Google Earth. (To match the picture, you’ll need to reverse the compass (so that South is ‘up’), and add the Roads overlay.) This image appears in the middle of the Nevada Test Site, a location for atomic bomb testing in the 50s. Coincidence? Or something else?(Louis Wu 13:42:49 UTC)

A busy Monday morning viewing session should ensue!(Louis Wu 13:34:00 UTC)

The Room Service Sucks
Elnea continues her astounding postage rate for Halo Action Figure Theater (there was a large gap before Episode 100, my guess is she was building the next 77 episodes during that downtime). Episode 112 brings hope back to Mudville (well, maybe). Check it out!(Louis Wu 19:05:48 UTC)
