- Bring the remote for your TV or know in advance how to change the input without it!
- Don’t assume your copy of H1 is in the tray of your Xbox. Check!
- Ensure you have the AC power adapter and necessary cables for your Xbox.
- Bring equipment if you have it! (TVs, Xboxes, networking gear, etc) If you play Halo then you’ve probably got a TV and Xbox. It’s not as much of a hassle as you think to walk it 30 feet to your vehicle ,and it adds exponentially to the fun of the LAN (it’s the difference between playing on a quarter screen and a half screen).

A Halo Live-action Short – coming soon!
Devastator has shown up around the halo scene a few times – he’s got a set of Nightmare Armor that he’s worn to several high-profile Halo events, and he’s got a large Legendary tattoo on his leg. Seems he was recently contacted by a group looking to film a live-action Halo flick – he’s put up some pictures on the GameGoons forum. The final product should be out soon – they’re just finishing up the special effects. We’ll keep you posted! (Louis Wu 21:27:43 UTC)

Surly Teammates and Betrayals FTW
This week, the Halo 3 Humpday Challenge was another “let’s play random games in Matchmaking and call it a match” entry – except with very pretty pictures. (I gotta say, the “oops, we missed that hog with a rocket” shot is nothing short of awesome.) Nice writeup! Thanks, Jordan117.(Louis Wu 19:19:46 UTC)

Sup Thursdayers? How about a comic to brighten your “almost Friday” day? Screw it, how about two. And when you’re done with those, you should watch the video of Gav’s Grandfather reviewing Assassin’s Creed. dggeoff

I dare you to jump in there. I dare you.
A fun little Forge experiment on Avalanche showed up in my Google Alerts box this morning – a few gravity lifts + Avalanche’s mancannons + lots and lots of plasma grenades = pretty patterns!(Louis Wu 12:30:28 UTC)

Par Avion
blackouTT let us know that he’s posted his entry for GamingTV’s Laughs for Cash competition – you can download it and decide what you think about it. Par Avion is a spoof of many other machinima projects, and follows the travels of a player in Matchmaking after he picks up a mysterious object. Very nicely put together, with some funny jabs at the genre. (Plenty of swearing, so turn down the volume a bit if you’re watching this at work.) See if you can recognize all the original projects he’s lampooning! (There’s a Director’s Cut, as well, with commentary.)(Louis Wu 12:27:09 UTC)
