I finally finished putting together the E3 2007 theme for piano. It is fairly difficult to play but it is still possible. I went to my old “Halo Main Theme Extended Maw Version” transcription and added parts from the E307 trailer. There are a few mistakes that I could not fix but overall I think it sounds pretty good. Update: I fixed and added some missing parts from Mike Poe’s full score transcription of this song. I have also arranged One Final Effort for piano and have posted it here as well.

Rumors, probably fake
Over at NeoGAF, Stormtrooper30 pointed out a rumor that popped up on the Europe-Nintendo forums (heh) suggesting that in the next few months, Microsoft would begin patching original Xbox titles to retroactively add achievements. First on the supposed list? Halo: Combat Evolved. Before you get your hopes up, Luke Smith immediately chimed in with a sobering comment: “That’s nothing we’ve heard of.” It’s POSSIBLE that Microsoft is doing this without Bungie’s knowledge… but not horribly likely. (Luke also pointed out how much work it would be to retrofit an older game with achievements. As he says, “don’t hold your breath.”)(Louis Wu 14:53:40 UTC)
