OMG BANT
Dojorkan has pointed out a very cool video by ExileLord of HaloMods and the response was largely positive. The video, Why We Mod, appears to be an effort to dispell the generalization that all modders are cheaters by showcasing all of the very cool, fun, goofy things that real modders create.(KP 16:24:23 UTC)

RT: Con Adventures
Gus, Joel, and Nico are living it up at Anime Boston right now. I’m sure they are having experiences similar to today’s comic as we speak. In other news, I decided to break down and buy Guitar Hero II today. Apparently I wasn’t the only one. It’s sold out…

Administrivia
For the first time in a long time, I’m headed out of internet range for a significant chunk of time; there are plenty of gnomes running around to help out while I’m gone, but please, please, PLEASE – if you have Halo news to send in, do not send it to me personally (lwu) – send it to halo at bungie.org, so that those monitoring the site can actually read it. Thanks – and enjoy yourselves! Back next weekend…(Louis Wu 05:02:09 UTC)

I Blame Shishka.
_Wheels03 noticed that the most recent Halo Humpday Challenge (between 1UP and Bungie) has been chronicled both by 1UP (in a flikr photoset and the 1UP Show video podcast) and by Bungie (though as of now, all three games are linked to the third game stats – first game is here, second here). Looks like a good old-fashioned rivalry… check it out! (Louis Wu 21:13:10 UTC)

360 demo out: Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

I saw a buddy on my list playing the new C&C3 demo. Indeed it was released this morning. After the 1GB download hit my demos folder, I gave it a try. Words to describe my first session:
Deep, complex, strategy, cool, fun.
I got my butt kicked by some girl (I could tell because there’s XBOX Live vision support while playing). Apparently, I’ve got a lot to learn. I’m going to play the demo a bit more (especially when the Shadowrun demo ends). I might make a purchase. However, I’ll likely make the purchase for the PC.
Neowin.net said: The demo for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars has been released to Xbox Live Marketplace for you to download and (hopefully) enjoy. The demo clocks in at 1 GB exactly, and includes two singleplayer maps, and one multiplayer map with Xbox Live Vision camera support.
C&C3 on Xbox 360 comes with a console specific control scheme that will hopefully be intuitive and easy to use, two console only multiplayer modes (Capture the Flag and Siege) and of course the Xbox Live Vision camera support we are hearing so much about. Nothing like seeing the ugly mug of the weirdo 13 year old kid who just owned you. Brings back memories of late night Counter-Strike play sessions. Yikes.
So go forth my friends, download the demo and enjoy. Remember, the retail release of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars will be on May 10th.
