RSS Delivery.
It almost never works this way… but sometimes, ye can ask, and ye shall receive. rapture wondered if we had an RSS feed for One One Se7en – we didn’t. rapture said “but you should. It’s easy and useful.” rapture was right. So here you go. (If you are too lazy to deal with this right now, you can always click on the little RSS button on the One One Se7en page to subscribe later.)(Louis Wu 21:35:16 UTC)

Nick, from HaloDev, wrote to say that there was a new update about Prometheus (the Halo-everything editor) posted on their site; lots of details about what’s gotten better. Sounds like they’re nearly ready to beta-test it, even. Go read!(Louis Wu 19:17:53 UTC)

The Banshees And The Drones
Sane Intolerant let us know that there was a new episode of Halo Toy Box. I have nothing useful to say about it, so I’ll just tell you it’s there.(Louis Wu 19:00:33 UTC)

Last Ordained Insight Update
Urban Reflex lost his net connection about halfway through the Halo 3 Beta – but he’s (sort of) back now, and there’s a new update at Ordained Insight. It’s an interview with some friends about the beta; give it a read! (By ‘sort of back’, I mean he stopped by long enough to announce this update, but he’s gone again to avoid Halo 3 spoilers, until September.)(Louis Wu 12:44:09 UTC)

H2V review from Pro-G
Pro-G looked at Halo 2 Vista, and found it lacking – buggy, visually unimpressive, too slow to be worthy of the title ‘PC Shooter’. (You’re certainly welcome to disagree.) Overall rating was 6/10 (enjoyable).(Louis Wu 12:12:08 UTC)

Kurt’s Theme
Sean Mortensen sent along a piece of music (MIDI format, 139 kb) he wrote as a score for a section of Nylund’s ‘Ghosts of Onyx’, because he was inspired by the book. He knows it sounds a little like the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End score, but says that is coincidence more than anything. If you’re interested in an MP3, you can email him with a request, and he’ll post it. (Louis Wu 12:10:00 UTC)

Balancing Views
There’s a small interview with Frank O’Connor over at CVG – discussion of what got learned from the beta, and what might be changed by the time we see the final product. Nothing horribly new, but if you’re looking for confirmation that Snowbound was indeed a well-liked map or wondering what Bungie thought of the stuff like the Custom Game leaks, give it a read.(Louis Wu 12:04:31 UTC)

Edge Rates ’em All
Edge has posted its World Best Videogames list, according to Next Generation – and the results might surprise you. 3 of the top 4 are games that Edge gave 10/10 reviews to. 5 and 6 – Super Mario World and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past – were released before Edge started as a magazine, and so were not reviewed by them. Game 7 is Halo – another 10/10 review. Game 2 is a surprise; Resident Evil 4 came out in 2005, and Edge gave it a 9/10 at the time – so how did it make it to #2 on the list? And what happened to Gran Tourismo, the 5th 10/10 game? I suppose you’ll have to grab the 260-page collector’s book entitled ‘Edge Presents: The 100 Best Videogames’, on sale tomorrow, to find out. Thanks, nash–housewares.(Louis Wu 16:46:01 UTC)

Reflections on Gambling.
Today’s Guest One One Se7en comes from Warbow, who finds himself surprisingly busy this morning. (No, there’s no relationship between his guest strip and his forum activities. I just found the timing amusing.)(Louis Wu 16:14:54 UTC)
