  • Look up!

Chapter 9 of Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction is now online, and if you’re reading this on the main page, it’s right above this very post. Now that things are up and running on our new gaming site Achievement Hunter, our resident web developer and Englishman Ben has had time to start fancying up our video archive. (“Fancying up” is a British term for the American phrase, “Awesomeitizing”.) He also had time to make a cameo appearance in this week’s episode, but you’ll have to guess who he is. (Hint: he’s not Sarge.)

  • Red vs. Blue Recon 9

    Yo Hunters –
Chapter 9 of Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction is now online, so take a break from all your achieving and go watch it. Now that things are up and running on Achievement Hunter, our resident web developer and Englishman Ben has had time to start fancying up our video archive. (“Fancying up” is a British term for the American phrase, “Awesomeitizing”.) He also had time to make a cameo appearance in this week’s episode, but you’ll have to guess who he is. • Warhawk Trophies this month

It seems that when Warhawk, one of the first cool PS3 games, gets patched later this month, trophies will be added. The Warhawk 1.5 patch hits August 27th and will add over 50 trophies to include in your achievement fix.

I haven’t actually played Warhawk yet, but this may be the perfect time to go digging through the discount bin to find a PS3 title. What do you think? What games would you like to see get trophies retroactively?

  • Geometry Wars 2 – Smile Walkthrough

Please enable JavaScript to enjoy this flash-based video. Find out how at this link.

Last week’s ever delicious Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 is an excellent XBLA title, and you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t at least play the demo (which enters you into a contest with Microsoft to win 100,000 Microsoft points, so long as you play it before tomorrow).

We featured it on Achievement Hunter TV last week and Geoff and Jack had a lot of fun playing it, whilst I was in the background competing for high scores and racing against Jack’s Achievements during the broadcast. That night Jack and I both finished with 10 of the 12 Achievements under our belt, leaving Game Over and Smile, both of which involve the Sequence gametype.

So, today’s video shows you how to do Smile, which I unlocked (and fortunately for you, captured) yesterday. Smile is simply described as “2, 4, 11, 15, 17, 18, and 19.” Time out on stages 2 and 4, and die on the others. Oh, and don’t die or time out on the stages not listed, obviously. This video is sort of a two-fer, in that if you do this, and don’t have Game Over, you can get that at the same time. Also, my method leaves you with an extra life, so you can mess up on one level and still get Game Over upon completion. Enjoy, and don’t forget to breath.

  • How's the weather up there?

Some people can be so hard to shop for. Take today’s comic for example.

  • GTA IV – Endangered Species Part 2 – Dukes

Today’s video brings us one step closer to finding and slaughtering the 200 pigeons around Liberty City. Now we’re onto the second half of the first island, and take out the 28 pigeons in Dukes. That brings us to 50 in total. We should have this town cleaned up in no time. Anyway, enjoy, and here is the coinciding map with numbered pigeon locations.
