Hey folks, as you know, Dead Rising 2 hits the shelves today and we are going bonkers for it over here at Achievement Hunter.

“How bonkers?” you ask…CRAZY BONKERS! We’ve already prepped a map for the hidden items in the game. You can find it right here. Don’t worry, we’re still adding videos and other hidden items in there, so keep checking it to make sure you are up to date.

Also, below is the first in what is sure to be a huge number of achievement guides for Dead Rising 2. This one makes you tame a wild beast! Meow!

Thanks to all of those who participated in the Halo: Reach Community Playdate last night. I know everyone from Rooster Teeth had a blast. It’s also been a good place to farm some good fails for our new series “Fails of the Weak“. We were going to call it “Jack plays Halo” but it seemed to obvious.

I’ve been putting off this unlucky number for too long now, but sign ups for Achievement Challenge 13 are now open. You can sign up by leaving your Gamertag in the comments here!
The Challenge starts Friday October 8th, so you have plenty of time to join up, but there will be a reminder next week. To sign up, you must first join the Achievement Challenges group.

When I booted up my 360 this morning I saw a strange ad that showed that a whole bunch of DLC is on sale (at least a week I assume) for games that range from Fable 2, Fallout 3, The Force Unleashed and Assassin’s Creed 2! Now without further padding this out lets post a sexy list!

Assassin’s Creed 2: Bonfire Of The Vanities 160msp, Bonfire Deluxe 400msp, Battle Of Forli 160msp.
Fable 2: Knothole Island: 400msp and See The Future:320msp.
Fallout 3: The Pitt 400msp (I was hoping Broken Steel but whatever)
The Force Unleashed: Jedi Temple, Tatooine and Hoth are all 400msp (I would recommend buying these, they rock)

Now based what some of the listings say it looks like this is for a week so buy what you need to get more achievements for these great games!

Cody Miller stopped in with a speedrun of Winter Contingency – Legendary took him 9:25. (55 kills, 0 deaths, to boot.) I saw a few GAFfers playing around with that Falcon… but I like Cody’s hitchhiking technique! Go watch.(Louis Wu 12:38:16 UTC)

Valve’s Left 4 Dead blog had an update on the soon to be released DLC pack yesterday. “The Sacrifice” will be available to download from October 5th for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 and is the prequel to “The Passing”, where we see the original Left 4 Dead survivors make their way south and the events along the way. Although the pack has the same name for both games, each one will offer a slight difference to reflect the core gameplay of the Left 4 Dead disc you’re playing on. Unfortunately, this means that there are two DLC packs to download, one per game, both priced at 560 MSP or free to PC gamers.

In Left 4 Dead, you’ll receive the Sacrifice campaign to play through on Campaign, Versus and Survival. The pack will give you 5 new achievements and will feature a new stlye finale, unique to Left 4 Dead.

For Left 4 Dead 2, players will receive the Sacrifice campaign as well as L4D’s famous No Mercy campaign, both of which will have maps for Campaign, Versus, Survival and Scavenge gametypes. These two campaigns will be playable by the original L4D survivors but with the new Special Infected, weapons and items. This means Francis can hate Hospitals, Chargers and chainsaws all on the same map! “The Sacrifice” pack for L4D2 will also have 5 new achievements available.

Thanks to the quick work of Cody Miller, we’re proud to be able to bring you the first five cutscenes from Halo: Reach, as the Reach Cutscene Library opens. You have both SD and HD options for download (in QuickTime and WMP9 formats), along with a streaming option if you’re just looking for a quick confirmation or refresher.
