Dust Storm and AceofSpadesCard went to Dallas this past weekend to cover the last Halo 3 MLG event at the 2010 Championships. For those who didn’t get a chance to go, it was a very good event. Since Greg didn’t get a chance to go, we decided to do a recap of the event and include the interview Dust Storm did with Mazsik: Coach of Final Boss. Enjoy

Here’s a new one – Jefftoolbox is offering his artistic services – for your Halo pleasure. He’ll sketch your Reach character (you pick the armor, you pick the pose, you pick the lighting, etc), with colored pencils, on heavy paper… for $30. Check out the eBay listing to see some representative samples of his work. And sign up for a one-of-a-kind Reach keepsake!(Louis Wu 23:22:14 UTC)

Our Schwag Angels, Domino Theory and Devin Olsen, have both picked winners for their respective giveaways. Congrats to Moosetastic007, who’s picked up Halo books 1-3 from Domino’s Grab Bag Giveaways! And congrats to Fiznithy, who won Devin-Sent! We’ll let you know when the next rounds begin.(Louis Wu 23:10:55 UTC)

Post Carving Carnage.

Back from the Beta.

Wow. ElzarTheBam pointed out an article at Joystiq about a Noble Map Pack pre-order deal from Gamestop that has me reaching for the duct tape… (We all need to keep our brains in our skulls SOMEHOW.)(Louis Wu 19:19:46 UTC)

Take evasive action!

Aaaand… we’re finally at our journey’s end. This video completes our “I Am the Keymaster” Achievement saga. Now it’s on to Gnomes, flowers, Demon Doors, and Books!

I’m hoping enough people aren’t going all JFK on some zombie ass in Black Ops to read this, there’s achievement hunting afoot:

spiegbb32 is dusting off the Arcade game (even though that’s physically impossible) Snoopy Flying Ace going for the online achievements.

Don’t forget about the big community event detailed in Fragger’s post yesterday, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Extravaganza.
If you want to host a future Weekend Hunt, post the details in this group thread to get some frontpage attention.

FyreWulff has another iteration of Fire Team Zulu for you today – one ODST Campaign challenge, and one Halo 3 Campaign challenge. Both are on Heroic difficulty. Go check ’em out – and Rise to the Challenges!(Louis Wu 17:06:32 UTC)

It’s Friday, so it’s time for another installment of Tyrant’s Halo: Reach Mythic Difficulty Guide. This time, he tackles ONI Sword Base. The guide is quite hefty – 2 pages of text, 17 videos, all aimed at getting you successfully through a harrowing level in the most difficult circumstances. Check it out! (And remember, he’s keeping up on his YouTube-based Legendary Guide, as well – the next level, Nightfall, is live now. (Louis Wu 13:27:21 UTC)

This year’s Guilt O’ Lantern competition was the largest one ever – 150 entries. Took a long time to process them all so you could vote on them, and the voting itself took a while. But it slowed down to a trickle yesterday, so we turned off the spigot… and today, you’ll find that the winners have been announced. My biggest regret is that we have only three prize categories – there were a couple of dozen pumpkins I’d love to reward with goodies! Such is life, though… go see who DID win!(Louis Wu 12:57:42 UTC)

Looks like Stuntmutt pulled today’s One One Se7en from personal experience, again…(Louis Wu 12:48:53 UTC)

Geekscape’s Brian GIlmore sent word of the last Armor Ability still to be covered by the Teabag Prevention Team – Evade. Read up to see when to use it – and when NOT to use it. Roll your way to victory!(Louis Wu 12:48:05 UTC)

Queso Man let us know about Queso Man 8, the “conclusive epilogue to the Queso Man saga”. (The Queso Man vids are full of funny/silly moments in Halo 3 multiplay.) It was released just before Reach came out… but I guess he got distracted after that. Go watch!(Louis Wu 12:43:56 UTC)

Just a couple of new entries in the Fan Fiction section this week – go read ’em!(Louis Wu 12:42:32 UTC)
