GhaleonEB has finished up his Crossroads map – and finished the blog writeup of its creation. Nice wrapup! Check it.(Louis Wu 18:33:53 UTC)

So today’s been a bit of an overload on news and announcements. From Fable III’s Understone DLC coming November 23rd for 400 MSP, the mobile hit game Angry Birds coming to XBLA and PSN, and even two new Transformers games coming out in the next couple of years. But this sort of stuff is what AHWU is for, and since it is Monday you’ll be getting your healthy dose within a few hours.

What you can’t be shown on AHWU, is a trailer for completely over the top, first person shooter action from Epic, Bulletstorm‘s latest trailer, “Kill with Skill”!

While still blurry eyed and maybe a little hung over I noticed a little ad on my Dashboard. This ad stated that another Microsoft Point rebate was going on. After reading what I could buy and being generally confused I figured it out and now I am here to help you all out too! Just follow these steps:

1) Download this gamer picture
2) Download 1600 MSP worth of the following items by November 22

Arcade Games
Splosion Man, South Park Tower Defense, UNO Rush, Perfect Dark, Snoopy Flying Ace, Defense Grid, Magic The Gathering, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, ikaruga, Fable 2 Pub Games, Braid, A Kingdom For Keflings, Rez HD, The Maw, Scrap Metal, Alien Breed Episode 1, Alien Breed Episode 2, The Dishwasher, Duke Nukem 3D, N+.

Game Add Ons
Forza 3, Mass Effect, Fable 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Gears Of War 2, Alan Wake (The Alan Wake page is wonky on Xbox.com so here is links to the DLC) The Signal & The Writer, LIPS, Crackdown, Crackdown 2, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Scene-It? Box Office Smash.

Avatar Gear
Halo: Reach, Halo ODST, Halo 3, Gears Of War 2, Gears Of War 3, Crackdown 2, Fable 2, Fable 3, Perfect Dark, Toy Soldiers

3) Wait and get your 400 MSP!

It is currently unknown if this promotion applies to all territories but just in case consider buying some of those items you have been holding off on!

Now that we have the keys out of the way, we can focus on some of the other collectibles in Fable 3. First up, let’s tackle the Gnomes. Click the image for part one of our four part Gnome Invasion Achievement guide.

Game Rant has put together a list of five places from the Halo universe they wouldn’t mind seeing brought to life in the next Halo game. See if you agree!(Louis Wu 13:12:04 UTC)

Jason Davies let us know that The Signed Page (a site devoted to helping fans get books signed by their authors) is selling preorders of Halo Cryptum, signed by Greg Bear (personalized, if you want it). They’re charging cover price on the book – yes, you can buy it for less, but it’s not like they’re making a fortune on this. If you’d rather your copy of Cryptum had a personalized message from Greg Bear… here’s your chance.(Louis Wu 13:07:29 UTC)

Higuy wrote to let us know that Project Lumoria (check our news if the name isn’t familiar) will be releasing their first map on November 26 (next Friday) – get psyched! (If you have a Mod DB account, you can vote for Project Lumoria as Mod of the Year.)(Louis Wu 13:04:23 UTC)

In honor of Halo’s 9th birthday, apparently, IGN released a History of Halo article yesterday (thanks, Tashi0106). Lots of these have been done over the years – but this one’s still worth reading. Lots of little-known tidbits in there. (Some of it might be speculation.) Good read, overall!(Louis Wu 13:01:02 UTC)

Last month, we mentioned Game for a Cure’s Reach tournament to raise money for cancer research – spankysully dropped in last night to remind folks that the deadline is close, and they’re still looking for a few more teams! Check out their site for full details.(Louis Wu 12:55:54 UTC)

Gaming4Others’ kilaM0Mjaro dropped us a line to announce a Halo Reach tournament being hosted with the Spirits of Fire community: “Fighting with Fairfax: Marissa’s Bunny outREACH Tournament“. The tourney will take place on December 4th and 5th, will have 2v2 and 4v4 Slayer events, and will raise money to support Infantile Spasms (check Marissa’s Bunny for more info). It’s Monday. It’s AHWU. GO!

Hey guys, I don’t know if anyone noticed, but I was out of the office last week. Yup, somehow the site managed to stay up even without me here. Wild, eh?

Anyway, I was actually out of the country checking out Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit at the Criterion Games Studios in Guildford, England. Here is my report on the matter!
