So a funny thing happened on the way to the end of RT Shorts Season 2, and that was the start of RT Shorts Season 3. Because of our week full of hijinks with Mega64 and the new episodes of Immersion, we haven’t had a chance to properly conclude season 2 until now. Our finale is called “Noted to Death,” and it’s a stunningly accurate portrayal of the creative process here at Rooster Teeth. You can find it along with 23 other hilarious shorts, behind-the-scenes specials, outtakes, and whole lot more on the Season 2 DVD. In addition to the Spike VGA’s, there was a second ceremony that took place yesterday – Machinima.com’s 2010 Inside Gaming Awards. Marcus Lehto and Marty O’Donnell were on hand, and they took home ‘Best Innovation in Game Design‘ (for Forge 2.0), beating out Call of Duty: Black Ops (wager matches), Dance Central (full body recognition dancing), Heavy Rain (interactive cinematography experience), and Rock Band 3 (Pro Guitar mode and peripheral).
