GrimBrother IV noticed a Facebook Wall photo from Greg Bear – looks like he’s gotten his advance copies of Cryptum. (For folks who don’t have a Facebook account, and can’t see this – a localized version is here, and the caption reads “Is it even okay to open the box yet?”?) Gotta love those slippers!(Louis Wu 14:51:08 UTC)

They’re on vacation, so Bungie.net’s front page isn’t being updated… but Bungie put out their last podcast of the year yesterday, you can find it on the Podcast page. Thanks to geekinabox, who noticed it on the RSS feed.(Louis Wu 14:44:06 UTC)

NASA recently published photos of various spacesuit variants, some that have been used, and some that never made it into service. There are even some very cool x-ray shots taken of them. What’s the Halo connection? Take a look at picture number 5, and you tell me. They even got the color right. Cue new Waypoint Ordinance piece in 3, 2, 1…(GrimBrother One 13:50:46 UTC)

CruelLEGACEY sends word that he has a new Reach guide available, and this time it’s for the Noble Map Pack Achievements. If you’ve been having a time with trying to recomplete Reach’s Achievement list, definitely go and give this a look!(GrimBrother One 13:46:36 UTC)

We want to have a game night on Christmas Eve with you guys to start kicking off what hopefully will be the renewal of community play dates. We’ll be doing an assortment of customs and a little matchmaking mixed in there for about a few hours starting from around 8:00PM to Midnight Eastern Time. If you have any customs you want to play, be sure to bring them or send them to POD Dust Storm on XBL. Spread the word.

You might rememeber that fundraising package we mentioned last week – a collection of Halo goodies, signed by Bungie devs, put on eBay to raise money for Jen Taylor’s Seattle theater company? Bidding closed yesterday – and the final price was $3000, well above the Buy It Now price. Awesome beans!(Louis Wu 11:35:42 UTC)
