As some of you have already heard from our latest episode, we will be doing our own little “Best of 2010″ show in an upcoming episode. We are recording our next three shows on Friday, which includes some updates about the site and community, random frags from the mailbag and a Black Ops show. We want to see what your picks are for 2010: what was the best, worst, weird, etc. Again, we are recording on Friday, January 7th, so if you want your opinions heard, send them in by that day.

New maps, mb
Do NOT take this as gospel (meaning don’t freak out if there’s a delay) – but it’s quite possible that some of the entries in the Forgetacular competition might be showing up in Matchmaking later today. Good news indeed! Update: it’s live NOW. Thanks, FPS Fan.(Louis Wu 20:05:23 UTC)

I get up, and nothing gets me down.
It’s Trick Jumping Day at Bungie.net – Comm Chatter’s full of gnarly stunts. New ones include:- Invisible is a Halo 3 Dualtage from Alex Bounces and Angels of Chaos that uses a lot of invincibility to get some nice explosive-assisted jumps.
- Renegade is a Halo 3 ‘tage from Nate that contains some seriously well-timed jumps.
Go watch both!(Louis Wu 18:55:31 UTC)

AH: AH: Easter Egg Week – Day One
Happy New Year Everyone!
We had so much fun ending the year with Fragger’s week of Secret Santa videos, that we decided to start the new year off with another themed-week. I present to you “Achievement Hunter’s Easter Egg Week”. Each day we will release a new Easter Egg video, starting with today’s bar of soap egg in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Check back tomorrow for the next one.

RT: Kinetic Video Contest with Red vs. Blue Quotes!
We are holding a Kinetic video contest using Red vs. Blue quotes! Our own Matt Hullum has made a sample video to use as a guide. You can also search for kinetic videos on youtube to get a better idea of what to shoot for. Please upload entries to http://upload.roosterteeth.com/upload.php
A few rules to follow 1) Start the video with a slate that has your RT member name…
Ok that’s the only rule. If you export a video that is more than a gigabyte, you are opening yourself for a world of hurt trying to upload it. Just a warning. We will keep the contest open for a little while so everyone who wants to participate has a chance. The winners will get mass kudos and some signed RvB Posters.
***NOTE*** This has nothing to do with the Xbox Kinect. Kinectic videos use animated text that follow some kind of dialog. Please see our sample and the examples on youtube.

RT: Happy Belated New Year
Sorry the comic is late. Luke apparently had way too much fun last night. Don’t worry, I’m going to make him draw this tomorrow. Multiple times.
