Hey guys, as I said yesterday, EA and Visceral Games have given us the okay to release some Dead Space 2 achievement tutorials a few days early…well, here’s the result of that!

The first achievement you’ll see is “Romper Stomper” followed by “Going for Distance.” Enjoy!

• David Aldridge will be talking about Reach’s Networking in “I Shot You First: Networking the Gameplay of HALO: REACH“
• Joe Spataro and Tam Armstrong will be discussing in-game characters in “The Animation of HALO REACH: Raising the Bar“
• Marty O’Donnell’s Adventures with Adaptive Audio, Creative Collaboration and Geese! will be given by (surprise) Marty O’Donnell
• Chris Tchou will delve into the atmospheric stuff in Reach in “HALO: REACH Effects Tech“
• Xi Wang will introduce Reach’s Level of Detail system in “Automated Level of Detail Generation for HALO: REACH” (kornman’s looking forward to this)
• While he’s no longer with Bungie (he’s moved over to 343 Industries), Seth Gibson will be part of a panel called “Technical Artist Boot Camp: Lessons in How to Create and Be an Effective TA“

In sad news, Firefight Arcade disappeared yesterday off the ‘Grab Bag’ playlist. Its replacement, however, will bring joy to many – Grifball is now live. This morning’s video is something a little different. I recently crawled out from under my console rock to discover that L4D has custom campaigns via steam. Check out this video to see what I mean.

As you might have noticed, the company has expanded a little over the last two years. Luke and I decided to update the comic to match the new office vibe. We are proud to introduce the new/sorta new additions to the production crew: Brandon, Monty, Kerry, Marshall, and Chris

…in addition to these fellas and myself, Jack also qualifies as a relatively new hire, but he works for Achievement Hunter so I put him in a different category.

Everyone did a great job. We could not believe how many good entries there were. It was not easy picking between them. Each contest continues to prove we have one of the most creative user bases on the net.

AHTV is back, baby. This year we’re gonna make it for good too, expect slowly but surely a regular occurrence of these fantastic broadcasts to continue throughout 2011. I’m excited to get back into the swing of things

So here’s how it goes, Thursday, January 20th,starting at at 10:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM GMT, I’m gonna take a crack at Dead Space on Impossible. (There may be a tentative lunch intermission happening, we’ll see, maybe evening a cooking special!)

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to the early start (I picked a day that I didn’t have work myself), I’ll be playing late into the night and having a grand ole time. Depending how far I get, we may continue Friday, January 21st,starting at at 3:30 PM PT / 5:30 PM ET / 10:30 PM GMT, so that’s possibly two days of AHTV goodness for you.
