AH: Rockstar Unlocks RDR Avatar Awards
After 18 days and over 6 billion XP earned, the Rockstar XP Challenge has officially been completed. Avatar items have been unlocked for all Red Dead Redemption players across both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. Grabbing your avatar reward is as easy as booting into Single Player and completing a save (note you didn’t have to participate in the challenge to get the reward).
That’s right, Rockstar Games has unlocked the Avatar Awards and PlayStation Network clothing for Red Dead Redemption! All you have to do is boot up the single player. So hop on and grab your wild west gear now.

It’s Double XP weekend on Call of Duty: Black Ops, but if you’d rather play something else, we have a community achievement hunt going on:
jakxin needs the Extreme Variety bonus in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. He’s going to set up a private room for 2 or more additional players who want to get it, and hopefully finish off that achievement. Bring poison and the hidden gun if you got them.

If your head is currently cocked to the side, with a slightly inquisitive look on your face… go visit his forum post and follow the links. (I remember being scared to DEATH of that guy. Original Halo Remake Confirmed
The rumor has been out for a while now that the new adopters of the Halo franchise would be making a Halo: Combat Evolved remake. Well, today those rumors come to rest as 343 has confirmed the development of the remake of the game that kicked off the Xbox. There are still lots of little pieces that we don’t know about the game that could make or break it. According to Joystiq, the remake will not run off of the Reach engine but by something being put together by Saber Interactive. Rumors of the confirmed rumor are that the remake will essentially be a graphics makeover with HDTV and 3DTV support with online co-op.

Halo: CE to be remade?
Hot on the heels of yesterday’s interview with Frank O’Connor in which he said that there were no new games to announce for 2011, Joystiq has a story about a hi-def remake of Halo: Combat Evolved scheduled for release on November 15, 2011 – exactly 10 years after the original.
